The entire next day, all you could think about was him. And you were well rested, so you actually paid attention in your math class. In theater, you began to rehearse the group skits for your semester project, and you were giddy and full of energy each time you practiced a different one.

You bounded into your dorm room, your head in the clouds, a smile still on your face from the night before. You twirled around and fell back onto your bed. You hugged yourself, trying to remember the feeling of his lanky arms around you. You resisted the urge to text him to hangout again... for a total of fifteen minutes.

You grabbed your phone excitedly and punched in his number. After staring at your phone for so long, you have it memorized already.

HEY! 2D! Wanna hangout!!!!????

You scoffed and backspaced.

Ayyee 2D, man, last night was great, wanna do it all again? ;-)

"That sounds like we fucked..." You complained, deleting the message again. Finally, you decided on an easy one.

Hey 2D, you free tonight?

It was much easier than talking in person, because then the words just flew out of your mouth and filled you with regret.

The response was almost instant.

Sure, call me when you want to hangout

You pressed your phone to your chest and squealed. You didn't want to call right away and seem like a bigger dork than you had already made yourself out to be, so you waited and did things around your dorm.

Due to your good mood, your first instinct was to clean. You arranged the mini fridge, took the trash down, gathered all of the presumably dirty clothing, and made your bed. You placed your hands on your hips, your chest rising and falling with deep breaths. Still wearing the smile from his text, you picked up your phone. An hour was long enough to wait. You called him.

"Ello (y/n)! Wot do yew wann' do today?" He sounded so excited to spend time with you.

"Anything's fine, really."

"Are yew up fo' a movie at mah place?"

You began to sweat. He was inviting you over again. "Of course! Let me guess, horror movie?" You heard him chuckle a bit over the phone, it was obvious he pulled it away from his face so the laugh wasn't loud. "Yah if yew wan'... ah'll text yew mah address, let meh know when yewr on yewr way."

"Alright, will do." And with that, you hung up. You hurried over to your dresser and looked for something tasteful but comfortable to wear. You decided on sweatpants and a loose long sleeved crop top. You grabbed a few hair ties and clean undergarments.

After showering and getting ready to spend the evening with 2D, you texted him and said you were leaving. Wrapped up in the excitement and impending happiness that came with seeing him, you didn't wait for a response and you left your dorm, key in pocket. You quickly texted Hannah, saying you snatched the key and that you were going to 2D's place.

You waved down a cab and hopped in.

The sun was setting, but this time it was like cotton candy. Soft pinks and purples fading to the bright yellow of the setting sun. There were many clouds, all of which were a very faint purple. It was beautiful, and lifted your mood even more. With 2D aware of your existence, the entire world was beautiful to you now.

After paying the driver, you stepped out onto the curb and went to his building. The apartment was huge, and his room was up high. It looked over the entire city, and you could almost imagine kissing him as the sun rose behind you, the orange and red shining through the large glass windows and striking his cheeks and eyes in the most perfect way.

Your face was warm, and your heart was pounding. You finally arrived at his door and knocked. No answer.

You knocked again. No answer.

Finally, you called him. It rang, and you could hear it inside loud and clear. But still, no answer.

You scrunched your nose and placed your ear against the door. It didn't sound like he was home. Could he have gone somewhere and forgotten his phone? Unlikely, but possible. Either way, he knew about your plans, so you decided that a little waiting around couldn't harm you.

You waited two entire hours. People passed by, and each time they did, you asked about 2D. They all told you they didn't know who that was, or that they hadn't seen him that day. You looked at your phone, it was almost dead and your eyes were growing heavy. You sighed through your nose and stood up. You knocked on the door one last time.

"Hey, 2D, it's okay if you... think I'm weird. And you don't want to hangout. But, I'm leaving now. So you can resume your activities... or whatever. Uh, text me if you can. I'll see you around?"

You walked away, hands in your sweatpants pockets, bangs over your eyes as you glared down at your sandals. Maybe he found you weird? Maybe he decided to cancel the plans? You weren't sure if you wanted to know.

The sky had completely changed outside. It was pitch black now, the only lights illuminating from a sliver of the moon and the constant break lights out on the busy roads. You flagged down another taxi, and like that, you were headed to your dorm.

You unlocked the door and walked in, your heart aching. Your mind wandering, wondering what you had done wrong. You sat down at the foot of your bed and stared down at your text messages. "I... sound like a fucking creep." You mumbled, rereading everything you had said to him. "Fuckin hell."

You threw off your clothes and jumped beneath the sheets, your phone next to you. But you couldn't sleep. You were too busy thinking about that blue haired boy.

You were worried about him, but at the same time furious at yourself for being such an idiot and falling for him so fast. I mean, yeah, he was your motivation to be on the stage someday, but you pushed it. You wanted to hangout too soon and too much. You rolled over, your phone dropping to the floor. You shut your eyes, but your mind was still wide awake.
