"But what if they don't like me?" I ask from the closet. James has decided that today would be a good day for me to meet his parents. We've been dating for a while but since we live in Los Angeles and they've moved back to New York, where James was born.

"How could they not like you Gabby?" he calls back. I pull a strappy tank top off of a hanger and grab my skirt from the top of the dresser, quickly changing out of my pajamas.

"Well I don't know but what if they don't? Then I have to awkwardly sit there, knowing they don't like me." I walk out of the closet, dressed and ready and James' eyes rake up and down my body. He's dressed and laying back against the pillows on our bed.

"If they don't love you, I definitely will make up for it later when we get home," James says, cocking an eyebrow at me.

"Can you not think about sex for thirty seconds James?"

"Sorry, they'll love you Gabby, I promise. I've told them all about you and they're so excited to finally get to meet you," James says. I sigh, pulling my heels on.

"I'm still nervous," I say.

"Babe, I promise. You'll be fine and we'll have a great time," he says, moving to sit next to me. His lips find my neck and my eyes flutter.

"Papi, we gotta go," I breathe. He groans against my skin.

"We can finish later, let's go," I tell him, a little louder this time. He sighs and stands up, pulling me with him.

"We're definitely finishing this later," James says as we walk out to the car. I giggle.

"Mom, Dad, this is Gabriella, Gabby, this is my mom and dad," James says when we approach his parents in the Italian restaurant he chose for dinner tonight.

"It's so nice to finally meet you Mr. and Mrs. Maslow," I say to them. Mr. Maslow shakes my hand but his wife pulls me into a hug.

"It's nice to meet you too sweetie, James always talks about you," she says to me. I smile at her.

"Hopefully good things," I say. The hostess comes to lead us to our table. James and his dad are in an animated conversation about business or sports or something and I continue talking with his mom.

"Oh yes, how beautiful and smart and hard working you are," she tells me. We get to our table and James' dad pulls out his wife's chair and James pulls out mine.

"Thanks babe," I say to him. He smiles and sits next to me.

"So, Gabby, what do you do for a living?" his dad asks.

"Well I'm finishing up my masters in business and hotel management. So I'm currently doing an internship at the SLS in Beverly Hills." James' parents eyes widen.

"Wow, that's impressive." The waitress comes and we order our food. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo for me, something with shrimp for James.

The evening passes by without a hitch and I realize I was being dramatic in thinking James' family wouldn't like me. We have some great conversation and James' parents tell me lots of cute stories from his childhood.

"Dessert?" the waitress asks, coming back after we've finished our food. We all nod and order. As Mr. and Mrs. Maslow are discussing the dessert menu with the waitress, James' hand skims my thigh under my skirt. My eyes widen but I don't do anything about it.

"I don't think you know how excited I am to get home," James says into my ear. A shiver goes down my spine at his words and I reach for my glass of water.

"Your parents are sitting directly in front of us," I mumble back. His hand goes higher, in between my legs and I glance at him to see a smirk on his face.

"They won't even know what's happening. You just look extra sexy tonight in that outfit. I can't wait to get home and rip it off of you," James growls to me. I take a deep breath before taking another swig of water.

Our dessert comes and we continue talking and James continues touching me under the table. Luckily I don't think his parents realized anything happened.

"This was fun. We should get together more often. You two need to come to New York soon!" James' mom says as we stand and walk out of the restaurant.

"For sure. It was great to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Maslow. I hope to see you again soon," I say.

"Oh it was wonderful to meet you too hun. Good to see our little boy has found a respectable young lady to take care of him," his mom says. She hugs me and her husband does to. With a peck from his mom and a hug from his dad, James' and I wave to the parents and head to the car.

"You were right," I mumble as James opens the passenger door for me.

"What?" he asks as he gets in the drivers seat.

"You were right. I had nothing to worry about. They were great," I say. James grins at me.

"Told you so. Now, let's get home because I have an outfit to tear off of you," he says, starting the car and taking off out of the parking lot.
