Ayano was leaving school still  wondering how she got in this weird situation. She used to be a nobody and now all of a sudden she had a reputation she didn't even want, it was too  much for her. She looked at the school gates and saw Taro walking home with Hanako and Osano. Ayano took a look around and when she made sure no one was looking at her she began following them from distance holding her phone as if being  more interested in what was on the screen than her beloved senpai. She kept on going until Taro and Hanako entered their home and closed the door behind. Osano moved further away and she decided that this was enough... for now. As he turned to leave she saw a large black limousine and a man standing in front of her, his silver hair and grey eyes gave him up immediately, it was Megamo's father. She tried to ignore him but as she passed by him he grabbed her hand and pulled her into the limousine. The driver started the car and left without anyone ever noticing a thing.

"That's kidnapping, mr Saikou." Ayano said coldly as she glared at him.

"And what you did earlier was stalking, young lady." He replied with a small smile.

"What is it that you want from me? I doubt it's normal for you to kidnap guests... so what is it?" She asked and his smile grew wider and... gentler. "What on earth was going on here? Why is he smiling like that?" Ayano wondered.

"I just wanted to make sure you're okay. You've grown a lot since the last time I spoke with you." He said and Ayano frowned. They've met once at the opening ceremony but she's certain they never talked.

" I don't think I understand. When did YOU ever talk to ME about anything?" Ayano asked her cold tone hiding a small ounch of curiousity.

"I'm not surprised that you don't remember, you were very young back then anyway." He said and Ayano tried her hardest to remember. Then it suddenly occured to her, she's met that man a while after the incident with her mother!

(Flashback)

She was walking on her own since she managed to get separated from her mother, they had gone shopping and Ayano asked Ryoba if she could eat something because she was hungry, she asked for a lollipop and Ryoba agreed, she gave her the money and told her to go on ahead and choose while she was grabbing a few staff, she chose a pink lollipop and began chewing it still with an emotionless expression, however when she tried to find her mother she ended up getting lost, without knowing what else to do, she went to a corner and sat there chewing her lollipop. Suddenly a shadow came above her, she looked up and saw an adult, however it wasn't her mother. Ayano looked down again ignoring the fact that the man was staring at her with curiousity.

"Are you lost little girl? " He asked, Ayano didn't reply. When he repeated his question Ayano said firmly.

"Mother told me never to speak to strangers."

"Well, where is she?"

"..."

"Is she around here?"

"I don't know, that's why I'm here, if I don't move she will find me." She said and Mr. Saikou seemed impressed.

"Come with me, we'll look together." He said and Ayano was hesitant.

"..."

"I promise I won't hurt you."

"Why should I trust you? I don't know you." She said and he laughed loudly.

"Trust me, I don't harm kids. I actually have a son in your age." He answered, Ayano stared at him for a few minutes before standing up and taking his hand. Mr. Saikou smiled and they began walking together through the crowd. Ayano was squashed by the crowd after a certain point so he picked her up and continued with her in his arms. Suddenly he realized that she was looking at a toy store, more specifically at a blue staffed bunny. He smiled as he thought that she wasn't really that different from other children. He went inside the store and asked her if she wanted the bunny.

"It looks like the one I saw on T.V. But it is blue." She said and looked at it again. He took this as a "yes" and so he bought it. Ayano, who was still eating that lollipop , thought that this man was not bad, he didn't make her feel pain so he was good. At least that's how her mother had explained what bad and good things were like. Just as she thought that, she felt the man shivering, she glanced behind and saw... her mother! She was smilling but was holding her favorite kitchen knife behind her back, Ayano's eyes had been trained to recognize every move her mother made and what it meant. So it was no surprise that Ayano knew her mother was pissed off despite her smiling face.

"Saikou san~ may I have my child back please? I really don't recall allowing you to hold her and go for a stroll with her."

"She was lost, I simply wanted to help." He said with an apologetic look and Ryoba's smiled vanished within seconds.

"Give me back my daughter or I swear I'll skin you." She said and he placed Ayano down. Ryoba hid the knife under her clothing and after that, she inspected Ayano for any injuries. Once she saw she was unharmed she hugged her daughter tightly. She gave her a harsh talk about her not ddoing as told and Ayano simply said.

"He said he'll help me find you, so I did what I did. He kept his word, he also bought me this." She said showing off her stuffed bunny, her tone still cold and unfeeling. Ryoba gave a warning glare at Saikou before thanking him in a dark tone and leaving with Ayano. The little girl glanced back and she felt something weird, like her mouth was wider, she realized she was "smiling" at Saikou. He blushed a bit but smiled back and waved at her.

(End of Flashback).

"I can't believe it.... how could I forget such an encounter?!" She said still shocked.

"Don't sweat the small stuff. I just wanted to say hello once again."

" Well, okay. By the way, I never thanked you for the bunny. I actually still have it in my bedroom. I had forgotten that you gave it to me. I thought it was a gift from mom, I suppose I was wrong." Ayano said and thought that this was a bit too good to be true.

Her mother might have been nice and caring but she only bought stuff for her husband, and he bought stuff for both her and Ayano. Sometimes he gave Ayano stuff secretely so that Ryoba wouldn't get jealous.

" I'll drop you off here. I don't want to cause a ruckus." He said and once Ayano looked outside she saw she was a few meters away from her home.

"Thanks for the ride." She said and as she tried to leave Saiko said in a low yet clear tone.

"Ayano, please don't kill anyone. "

" I can't promise that. I only promise to try." She said and Saikou seemed satisfied. He ordered the driver to continue and as Ayano entered she decided that this time she wouldn't lose this precious memory again.

Perhaps her mother was wrong... perhaps the Saikou's weren't going to stand in her way...

She really hoped so.... and she hoped there weren't any more lost memories... for everyone's sake.
