Chapter 25: Changes

Sakura tried to push past the girl, only to be stopped. "Are you trying to get hurt, Haruno?" (Y/n) looked back as she furrowed her eyebrows. "They'll hurt themselves if they fight like that!" the pinkette stubbornly said as she stumbled out of the room.

"There... That's the last of it..." the Hatake placed the pieces of broken glass in the trash bin. "Those two idiots... They're probably passed out on the roof..." she sighed as she walked down the hallways. "CHIDORI/RASENGAN!" two voices echoed down the hall, making the girl's eyes widened.

(Y/n) ran as fast as she could until she was at the door to the rooftop. There, she saw Sakura running towards the two as they had their jutsu ready. "Sakura, stay back!!" she yelled as she pulled her behind the safety of the door. 'Damn it...' she grabbed one of her marked kunai's and threw it between the two males. Naruto and Sasuke's eyes widened as they saw the girl appeared in front of their eyes. 'Damn it....' 'I can't stop...!' the two tried to halt, but their efforts were futile. "Twin Chidori!!" the girl exclaimed at the lavender bolts of lightning that emanated from her hands struck the ground, creating a large shockwave. The massive shockwave sent Naruto and Sasuke flying away from each other and launched the girl back. She closed her eyes as she braced herself for the impact.

But it never came.

She opened her eyes to see her father holding her. "You're late, Papa," the girl said as she jumped off of his arms. "Well... You know me..." he sheepishly chuckled. He looked behind himself only to see Naruto and Sasuke with both of their hands stuck in two separate water tanks as Sakura peeked from behind the door. "Don't you think you went a little bit too far just for a small fight?..." Kakashi spoke up to the two. Naruto shook as he pulled his hand out, making a small stream of water flow out. On the other hand, Sasuke pulled as hard as he could until he freed is entire forearm from the thick steel, allowing a gushing current to escape from the tank. He admired the damage he had done to the steel tank. Compared to what Naruto had done, he felt that he had established their levels. "Naruto...!" (Y/n) ran to her older brother's side as Sasuke scoffed. "Were you trying to kill Naruto...?" Kakashi's voice rang. Sasuke looked up only to see his sensei sitting on the tank. "Are you trying to develop a sense of superiority?" he questioned further.

"Naruto... Why did you do that?! You could have killed Sasuke with that rasengan! Look at you... you're shaking violently!" Sasuke and Kakashi turned towards the twins as the youngest scolded the other.

"Hn," the Uchiha scoffed once more before he leaped over the fence of the rooftop, landing onto a smaller building. The sound of more rushing water caught the boy's attention as he turned around. He looked up as his eye's widened in shock and anger. The water tank that Naruto had collided with had a large chunk missing from the back as large pieces of metal pointed outwards from the force of his rasengan. "Naruto... How much farther will you grow...?!" he hissed as he quickly ran away, his anger growing into rage.

"Naruto..." (Y/n) said with worried eyes as she looked at his shaking hands. "I'm fine, sis... I just need to teach Sasuke a lesson... He's becoming crazy and hung up on his own power..." Naruto balled his fisted in anger. The girl's eyes widened as Itachi's words began to echo in her mind. They reminded her of what Sasuke could become...

A sociopathic monster with the only goal of killing the last family he has...

"Hey... Sis...!" the blonde called out as the girl had tears falling from her eyes. Kakashi and Sakura turned their heads only to see Naruto shaking the girl as she failed to respond quickly. "Naruto..." she spoke low, making the older boy give all of his attention. "If... If it ever comes to it..."

"I won't hesitate to kill Sasuke..."

Naruto's eyes widened as Sakura had tears framing her face.

"How could you say something so horrible?!!" Sakura bursted out as more tears fell. Kakashi crossed his arms over his chest and sighed. "How could you still be so naive after all that has happened?!" (Y/n)'s usual calm demeanor when she argued with her teammate was gone. The girl looked on with glazed eyes. "Sasuke almost hurt Naruto just to prove he was better. He would let others get hurt just to get what he wants! HELL, HE ALMOST HURT YOU DURING THE EXAMS AND YOU STILL CHASE AFTER HIM LIKE SOME LOST PUPPY?!" the small Hatake yelled at her. "(Y/n), calm down," Kakashi tried calm the girl down. "HOW MUCH WILL HAVE TO HAPPEN BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR EYES TO SEE THE HATE HE HAS TOWARDS EVERYBODY IS GROWING?! I'M NOT GOING TO WAIT AROUND DOING NOTHING UNTIL SOMEONE DIES AT HIS HANDS!" (Y/n) punched the wall beside her. All four stood in silence until the (h/c)-haired girl began to walk away.

"I'm not going to wait..."

"I'll make sure you never feel lonely! I'll fill your days with happiness as you stay here! O-Or... I can help you with your revenge! Y-You can even take me with you! Just, please... Don't leave me..."

"You really are annoying..."

"(Y/n), you focus on the lower half of the body," Tsunade said as (Y/n) nodded in understanding. The girl stood next to Lee as she hovered her hands over his legs while Tsunade did the same over his torso. "On the count of three, you activate every cell," she instructed. "Alright," the Hatake closed her eyes as she began to concentrate. "One... Two... Three!" 

In unison, the two pairs of hands began to glow a bright lime green as they hovered over his entire body. "Just a bit more..." Lady Hokage said as her hands stopped glowing. (Y/n) began to focus on the whole body as the older lady placed both of her hands over the smaller ones. Slowly, Lee's body began to glow brightly. "...Now!" Tsunade commanded. On cue, the two females released their seals. Black lines stretched across their skin. (Y/n) grabbed a scalpel and cut into his leg. With two glowing fingers, she placed them into the incision until she touched the bone. As she slid her fingers down the leg, the muscle and bone repaired at a rapid rate. "Alright, turn him over," the girl ordered the medics that stood on the side. Quickly and carefully, they placed Lee on his stomach, exposing his back. With the same process, she cut down from the top to the bottom of his spine. Again, she slid her fingers down his spine, repairing the tissue as she goes.

"Done...!" (Y/n) said as both of their hands stopped glowing. She watched as a smile curved her sensei's lips. "It was a success...!" she exclaimed at (Y/n) launched at her with a hug. "Does this mean Lee can continue with his dream?" she smiled up at her. "Yup," the lady responded as they both looked back at the genin. (Y/n)'s vision became blurry as she stumbled to the ground. "(Y/n)!" Tsunade exclaimed as she kneeled beside her. "I-I'm fine. Just a bit light headed is all," she gave a reassuring smile as she shakily stood back up.

"Lady Hokage!" Izumo ran down the hallway as the two left the surgery room. "Yes?" the lady raised an eyebrow. "It's Uchiha, Sasuke...." he panted. (Y/n)'s vision began to fade as she slowly lost her balance. Voices becoming muffled around her.

"He left the village"

It was all she heard before collapsing on the ground as everything turned dark.
