I'm Here For You ( A Zane~Chan Story)

I was hearing a lot of things were going around the street. Rumor has it that Zane is having a lot of trouble functioning properly due to these nightmares he's having. I overheard Garroth and Katelyn talking about it the other day. I was surprised that she actually showed more concerned to the matter at hand. Garroth was really sad; he didn't want to lose his brother.

I want to help. I need to help.

The kitten! I can bring him with me to try and cheer him up! I just hope he likes him.

I arrived at their house with the kitten bundled up in Zane's mask. Laurence let me in and I explained why I was here. He allowed me to go upstairs to see him but warned me that he might push me away.

I knocked on his door. "Hello? Zane-Kun! It's Kawaii-Chan!" I said. I leaned in on the door and heard a quiet "come in" from him. I slowly opened the door. I walked in and closed the door behind me.

My face turned into a face of concern as I looked at him. His face was paler than usual. I mean, with a skin tone like Zane's, I didn't know it was possible! He fixed his posture as I looked up at him. His eyes...
they looked like life was slowly draining from them.

I hugged him after putting the kitten to the side of the bed. He looked very fragile so I didn't give him a bear hug no matter how much I wanted to.

"Zane..." I said, feeling the tears wanting to leave. I saw my kitten who woke up from his nap and walk towards us. He purred loudly and cuddled with Zane's arm. "Zane, what happened to you? Your eyes...why are they so lifeless?" I asked, sensing that my floodgates were gonna give out soon.

"I'm fine. I just... haven't been myself lately. I've been having some trouble sleeping as of late." he said. "Yeah, I can tell. Garroth told Katelyn that you weren't functioning properly. I just so happened to have overheard them." I explained.

"Hey Zane?" I asked. He looked at me dead in the eyes. 'CONFESS! CONFESS TO HIM!!!' my mind begged but I decided not yet. Instead I put on a weak smile and held his hand. "I'm here for you Zane. Don't you dare forget it." I said.

Zane looked at the kitten who was now asleep. His body vibrated slightly because of his purring. He is honesty the cutest thing ever. Zane picked him up in his arms and cuddled with him. I took a stealthy photo when he wasn't looking. 'I'm so going to post this!' I said in my head.

"What's his name?" he asked. "I'm not sure, I couldn't find any names for him." I replied as I put my phone away. "How about Nova?" he suggested. "It's perfect." I said. "Just like you..." I accidentally blurted out in a low voice. Silence.

"I-I don't know what to say..." he said shyly with a light red blush. "You really think so?" he asked, his blush getting slightly redder. "I wouldn't tell a lie to you, Zane."
I told him. I felt my face heat up too. "I would be telling you a lie if I said I didn't feel the same way." he confessed to me. I moved my face closer and gave him a kiss on the cheek. More silence.

He blushed profusely and was quite surprise. "When you're in better health, I'll give you the real thing." I told him.

"Teaser" he grumbled with a smirk as he folded his arms. I just started giggling.
