Chapter 26: Hate and Hurt

"Akamaru: Critically wounded. No mobility"

"Kiba: Critical but stable"

"Kankuro:  No major injuries"

The clone reported before it disappeared, leaving a cloud of smoke behind.

"Alright... Hang on Naru..." the girl grabbed multiple special kunai and threw them ahead, allowing her to teleport and thus move faster through the forest.

"Three people up ahead..."

(Y/n) made her way to the edge of a clearing in the forest, though something seemed off. 

"B-Bones...?" she questioned as she jumped down from the tree branch.

Instead of grass and dirt covering the ground, thousands and thousands of bones protruded from the ground, creating a deadly, spikey surface. She lifted her gaze to see three floating figures. One of them seemed to be made out of bone while the other two floated above on sand. "Gaara...?" the Hatake questioned. The one that seemed to be the enemy looked like they were about to attack other two, making the girl alarmed. 'Twin Chidori!' she placed both hands out in front of her as lavender bolts emanated from her palms. She quickly started to charge into the field of bones, clearing the path by destroying the bones with the lighting. She looked up and saw the enemy with what seemed like a large drill made out of bone, aiming straight for Gaara. Without hesitation, she jumped up to the floating sand using the pillars of bones as a step. The girl pushed the redhead out of the way as she extended her arms out, protecting the genin from any harm. She shut her eyes, waiting for the drill to impale her. But again...

It never came...

(Y/n) opened her eyes to see that the enemy had blood dripping out of his mouth. His lifeless eyes stared back at hers. "He's dead..." she mumbled under her breath. "Why... Why did you jump out in front of me...?" She turned back to see Gaara's stunned face. "I can't let my friends die," she said with a small smile as she stood up, extending her hand to help up the genin, which he gladly took as his lips formed a slightly noticeable smile. "And you Lee!!" (Y/n) turned to look back at the green ninja. "You just had surgery and you thought it was a good idea to come fight Orochimaru's minions?" she scolded him. "I-I'm sorry!!" Lee bowed in fear. "Haha, it's fine!" she laughed, "So, you are you holding up okay?" the girl raised an eyebrow. "Y-Yeah!" he responded abruptly, trying to show her he wasn't hurt or afraid. She let out a small giggle at his macho act making him blush in embarrassment.

Gaara's sand clouds took the three to a safe place outside of the field of bones. "I'm gonna leave a clone here to make sure you guys are alright," the girl informed as a clone poofed next to her. "Alright, be careful!" Lee said as he waved at the girl. "You too! Both of you!" she waved back at the two as she ran away.

(Y/n) had been running for a long time but soon stopped dead in her tracks when she stepped out into the open.

She was in the Valley of the End.

Two large statues stood next to the rushing waterfall. One was of Senju, Hashirama: The first ever Hokage of Konohagakure. The other was of Uchiha, Madara: Lord First's closest friend.
The valley was named after the great battle between the two. Madara's statue was on the side away from the village, showing his defection to his home all those years ago.
