Licht x Servamp! reader

"You're such a baby, Y/n." He said, continuing to walk ahead of me, "Why do you keep cheating on your girlfriend?" I asked, my voice shaking when I realised where I was going with the conversation. "Is it any of your business?" He responded. "No, right? So stop interfering or I'll break that so-called 'special item' I gave you." My heart dropped. He's talking about the stick that he threw to me when he saw me first as an animal.

"You would.. go that far?" I asked him in a soft voice. "Anything to get you away from me." My eye twitched. I caught up to him, stopping in front of him, and from my sleeve, I pulled out the stick. "Go ahead. Right now, I don't really care," My anger had reached the top, and my personality became dangerous.

"Or else I'll just kill you on the spot. Whatever works, yaknow?" He grabbed the stick from my hand, rather harshly. "So, you're really gonna do it?" He sent me a dangerous look. A smirk, before he took the stick and held them by both ends. Moving his hands down, the middle of the stick was cracking slowly, until eventually, it was in two pieces.

He threw the stick nearby on the ground, walking off with the few words, "See you never, Y/n."

"Yeah! See you, you idiot!" I yelled after him, tears streaming down my furious face as I suddenly felt like the world was gonna end. I knelt down and picked up the now in half sticks, deciding to start searching for any servamps their eves in the area, hoping they could help.

I soon came to Mahiru's apartment, and with crossed fingers, rang the doorbell. To my luck, he answered the door, "Y/n? What are you-.." He saw tears still trickling down my cheeks. His expression turned unreadable, "Are you okay?" I shook my head. His eyes trailed to my hands, which held the stick that had so many stories. The stories I had only told Mahiru and Kuro with a proud and happy expression.

I looked down to my feet, and he grabbed my arm and dragged me inside.

~About an Hour Later~

"Are you doing okay, Y/n?" Lily sat beside me, Misono on the other side. I was silent. I shook my head 'no,' to which he sympatheticly looked at me, rubbing his hand in circles on my back.

"Lawless and Licht are coming too." Mahiru called from the kitchen and I sighed aloud. "You guys are making a big deal out of this." Hugh stood on the table, looking up at me. As clever as ever, he said, "This is no joke, Y/n. You could be sevearly ill with your only posession of your eve being broken." He side glanced Lily, who only ignored his gaze.

"Ah! Juliet! How could that bastard of an Eve do that to youuu!?" I tiredly twisted my body to look at the door. Lawless surprisingly worried about his sister, and Licht making a poker face. Licht went up to Mahiru asking, "What happened?" Lawless went over to me and sat at the table asking me the same thing.

I couldn't bring myself to tell, for it only made my heart drop lower, reminding myself of Hugh saying I could get severely ill. Instead, Lily explained to him, and his hyperness went to a small minimum. "Oh," was all he said as he looked back to me, who was clearly tired with red, puffy eyes. Licht looked at me from behind, feeling a load of mixed emotions.

He knew that my eve was a horrible person. Never attending any of the meetings, and always cheating on his girlfriend. The exact person that should have NEVER met me. But, he couldn't do anything about it since whenever I talked about him, my smile would never fade.

I folded my arms on the table and hid my face, sighing. And only a few seconds later, when noticing I wasn't making much sound, Lily lifted up my hair, seeing my eyelids close and my breathing shallow with small snores. He motioned everyone to keep quiet, for I was sleeping.

Everyone stood near the door, "I'll stay here tonight," Licht said, "And keep watch over Y/n. Mahiru you can go to sleep since you have school tomorrow." Lawless stayed over at the table, listening in on the conversation, while once in a while looking over at me, checking if I was still sleeping.

"Take good care of her," Lily said before a slight wave of the hand, and he was gone, along with Misono, Tetsu, and Hugh. The door closed, and Mahiru said, "Then I'll get ready for bed. If you need help with Y/n, wake me up or ask Kuro." A small smile was all he gave before walking into his bedroom with Kuro as a kitten.

It wasn't long before Lawless fell asleep too, laying on the floor. Licht sat beside the sleeping me, studying my features with his head on his palm. He used his other hand to remove the hair from my face and put it behind my ear. "Why do you have to suffer so much?" He muttered, "Why did someone like him find you?" He leaned in to my soft cheek, "Why do you smile so happily when you talk about him?" His lips touched my cheek, "And lastly.."

"Why can't I find room to tell you how much I love you?"

I fluttered my eyes open, the bright daylight hitting my face. I saw Licht, sleeping with his face on his arm. I held back a cough, scooting closer to him. I rested my head on the table, only inches away from his face. I stared at him. His black strands covering few parts of his face. His angel features in a soft expression. His light pink lips opened partly.

I leaned in, pecking him on the lips. My heart beated fast, and butterflies flapped their wings rapidly in my stomach. "I wish he was my eve." Was romance between an eve and a servamp against the rules? "I wish he was the key to making me feel better."

"I'll answer you now, Licht," I said, thinking about the night before. "I love you too."

Even though he was asleep, and couldn't hear any word I was saying, I still believed he would remember what I said. Heat rose to my cheeks as I realised what I said. "If only he would realise."
