"This string is what pulled us together. Darling, this red string.. is our fate."

My eyes shot open. My breaths were heavy and quick as cold sweat trickled down my face. I had the dream again..

It's turning out that I'm having this.. weird dream every night. At first, I would only recall certain parts, such as his few words that he said to me, or his red eyes that stared at me with love and love only. But now, I can remember his yellow and brown hair, his red glasses, his long scarf that he wore in every situation... I can remember everything except for his name.

I headed outside for a walk. The nice, fresh air and soft winds of the spring time lured me towards it. The sweet fragrance of the flowers only made me smile as I touched its petals. But, even with this delightful scene ahead of me, my heart was still pained and aching.

I couldn't stop thinking about the dreams. Who was that man? How did he create this unexplainable feeling in my mind? My thoughts were interrupted when a certain familiar scent reached my nose. I stood up from my crouching position near the flowers immedietly and looked around. It was a manly smell and was overly welcoming. I clutched my hands near my chest and tried following the fragrance.

Only walking a few steps, I saw the back of a man who's hair looked the same as the person in my dreams. As a gasp was released from my mouth, everything around us seemed to stop in place. I looked around, the trees weren't moving with the draft that was in the air. The nearby fountain's water came to a stop, and all the surroundings slowly became blurry. I looked forward again, to see a red string connecting the two of us together.

He stood still, his shoulders moving with his breath. I didn't know how to call out to him. The feeling of him wanting to acknowledge me was overwhelming, making me weak. I was yearning to be with him.

"Hello?" I questioned aloud, bracing myself with a wince. He turned his head, then his whole body, to where he was looking at me.

He looked exactly as he did in my dreams. I about broke down. Seeing his face only in my dreams for so long, and to now see it in front of me in reality felt relieving. "You're that girl.." He looked down to his hand, seeing the red string, then looked back up to me. I didn't know what to say. All I could do was watch his slow pased steps make way towards me.

He was inches away. My face grew hot as his feet touched mine. He warmly hugged me, wrapping his arms around my torso. I hugged him back, smiling as he whispered, "This feels like a dream."

He pulled back, "I don't want to wake up."

"Neither do I," I responded, missing his arms around me.

His hand reached my cheek, and I softened into his palm, my hand clapsing over his own.

He then leaned in, his warm, wet lips touching mine. My eyes fluttered close, and my heart went wild. Everything he did to me in that short time made me feel like I was in the clouds.

When he pulled back, my eyes opened, only to see the worst outcome.

The walls around us were shattering like glass. My heart stopped as I noticed his figure slowly disappearing. 'It was a dream the whole time,' I thought to myself.

I watched the string holding us together be snapped into two and fall to the white ground of nothingness.

I gasped, jolting up from my bed. "It was just a dream.." I said aloud, holding my head in frustration and confusion. It was weird with how realistic it felt, his lips on mine.

I put my back against the bed, as I was laying before, and simply started to think, recalling each second of the dream.

My fingers went to touch my own lips, "I wish it was real.."

That does it, folks! School (for me) starts tomorrow, so I'm not sure how I'm going to keep up with updating. I was trying to go for a more darker theme, but I don't think it really turned out the way I wanted it to lol. I struggled with writing details, but hopefully its "okay."

To make this, even the slightest, more understanding: You (in this story) never actually woke up from the dream at first.
