A long stretch of golden morning sun landscaped the horizon. An orchestra of harmonies sung beautifully by the birds of the prey. The weather was comfortably cool, animals began to come back from the previous harsh winters. A cup of tea, warm by the touch, was sipped casually on the balcony of their new house that Sunday morning.

Jenna was laying comfortably on the chair, effortlessly gorgeous. Her now bulging stomach being smoothed over subconsciously by an olive-toned hand belonging to the man behind her, arms draped protectively over her. It was peaceful, quiet.

Just them, the rising sun, and-

A whimpering otter.

"Why is he here again?"
Tyler rolls his eyes as the sleek brown creature wobbles over and kneads at his shin. "He's a wild animal isn't their laws against this?"

"Well," Jenna starts, looking over at Elizabeth who scooped up the animal who was in need of constant attention. Ollie's small paw clutched Elizabeth's single finger.  She cooed at the sight. "We're taking care of him."

"He was also alone." The teen quipped. "He was too small to be alone in the wild."

Tyler shrugged, glancing up into the air when a shadow briefly cast over their frames. "Vulture's think he's food." Jenna swatted at him, which he easily ducks. Their daughter laughs at the action.

Elizabeth bites her lip nervously once they go back to blissful quietness. "So, I was thinking..."

"Uh oh. That can't be good." Tyler rolls his eyes, Jenna smacks his arm. Her blue eyes assure Elizabeth to continue.

"Can I go to school?" She asks hopefully. It was such a simple question, though given the context it could be very risky.

Their eyes widened. Tyler's mouth opened, trying to say something though nothing came out. He couldn't exactly say no, the child had her right to school. Yet, knowing what she was capable of and being in such a hostile environment like that made his anxiety shoot up. Eliza obviously felt the surge of panic from her father.

Jenna began to sit up, struggling slightly with the help of her husband until she studied her daughter.

"If it's what you want." She says softly, always so kind and gentle. Eliza nodded enthusiastically. "Then I and your dad can talk it over. Just make sure-"

"I know." She agrees because she actually does know even before her mother uttered the words. "And I'll be careful, always."

"I know you will." Jenna smiled.

Tyler cleared his throat. "Alright then, I'll call Zack." He states, already pulling out his phone. "You'll go to Grayson and Ethan's school."

"Doesn't Corey go to school with them?" Jenna asks, glancing between her husband and daughter for assurance. They nodded. "Great! At least you'll know them. And they can protect you while we're not around."

"I like the sound of that." Tyler mumbles. He's gonna need a cup of coffee.
