I don't remember much after hitting the ground. I remember someone holding my hand to my forehead. I remember Matt looking at me from the other side of the roof and sinking to his knees.
This is what I was told. After Matt went crazy they managed to handcuff him. Jake carried me to the car and then into the hospital. They said I fell on a coffee table and even though Jake said he would stitch me up. He wasn't allowed to. He is my family. They gave me something that would make me sleepy and I slept. All-day and night. Even though I wasn't supposed to. When I woke up, Jake was the only one there.
"Red. Oh, my...thank god you are alright." he kissed me on my forehead and stroked my hair.
"What...what happened?" I raised my hand to my head and looked around the room.
"Matt had an episode, but he's ok and so are you and everyone else." He pulled one of the chairs over to my bed.
"Wheres Amber?" I started to sit up.
"Hey, she's ok." he lightly pushed me back on the bed. "They were on their way already. She will be here soon. I gotta go actually work so sit tight and I'll be back in a little bit to check on you."
And he left. So I sat there. For 5 minutes. 10 minutes. Half an hour. It got me thinking. If this is ever over. Do we just fade into society? Pretend to be normal. Go to school. Get a job. Meet someone. Have kids and force them to hide like we are. No, I wouldn't have kids. Bring them into a world that doesn't accept them. Why did Jake kiss me? First of all, he is like 8 years older than me and second of all he's with Saundra. He must have meant it in like a little sister type way or something right? I am probably high on something because I keep getting distracted. None of this stuff is making any sense.

An hour or so later Amber came running into my room. She hugged me so tight. Tighter than when we met up at the restaurant the other day. Apollo smiled and patted me on the shoulder. I smiled and put my hand on his. The twins hugged me at the same time.
"I'm glad your ok Red," Saundra said.
"Thanks." I looked around. "Wheres Matt?"
"He uh..." Apollo trailed.
"He what?" I asked. no one answered. "Amber. What happened?"
