Chapter 23

I woke up, Morning sunlight flooded the room. I sat up and looked next to me. Sam was gone ( I had gotten used to it now.) I groaned and got up. I then went to get dressed. I put on some jeans and a tanktop. I then walked out and saw Sam fixing the hole in the wall. 

"Morning." I said. He jumped a little and turned around, He looked so happy. 

"Morning beautiful." He said.I smiled.

"What are you so chipper about?" I asked

"Oh just that fact that were getting married." He said

"After the battle and once were ok." I reminded home.

"Right." He replied.  I turned around and then walked downstairs. I opened the fridge and grabbed some strawberries. I sat down at the table and began eating them. I sighed as I watched the trees bend beneath the wind. I then thought of Johnny and what he said yesterday,

"The Rogues aren't going to come in two days but a week." His words floated through my head. I feel as the he was only telling half the truth. I'm not exactly sure the set up thing was true and I highly doubt they would come to battle us in a week. Suddenly Sam came downstairs and sat next to me,

"Sam I want to talk about yesterday and Johnny." I said.

"I think Johnny was only telling half the truth, I believe the part about the Rogues not battling in two days is true, but a week no way. They have waited years and I don't think there going to postpone their plan anylonger. I'm not sure, but I know Caleb is smart and he knows what he's doing. So I think he sent Johnny so you might believe it better." I finished and looked outside.

"I think your right, They told him to say that so we would relax and not care until the day comes. So I think it won't be a week but 5 days. So we have what 3 days left?" His answer shocked me a bit but it made sense. I just nodded. He got up and kissed my forehead.

"I'm going to go call a meeting with the Alpha's. I love you." He said then walked out the door. 

"I love you too." I said quietly. I then got up and put on my shoes, I then walked out the front door. I decided to get some fresh air. I began walking down the sidewalk, I had no idea were I was going but I didn't care. The air was warm but a little chilly, but I could handle it. I had no idea how I was going to be battle. See the thing is I have never killed another wolf and I know there rogues and all. But I just don't know if I can, but I guess I have to if it means saving the Packs. 

I stopped walking, someone was following me. I could smell it, I slowly turned around and saw Vendetta. Her blazing red hair shining in the sunlight, and she held a knife in her hand. 

"What do you want?" I asked and got into a fighting position.

"Revenge!" She said then smiled. She then lunged at me with her knife. I grabbed her wrist and the knife flew out of her hands. I slammed her to the ground, She took her foot and kicked me and the back. It hurt like hell but I still held my grip. She stared struggling and trying to bite me. I stood her up and then punched her in the face to knock her out. She went cold and I picked her up and put her over my shoulder. I started walking home. One thing that bothred me was she said Revenge? What the heck did that mean? I kept walking and reached home in about 10 minutes. I unlocked the door and walked in. I went straight to the basement, I found a chair and set her on it. I grabbed some rope and tied her in. 

"Sam! Get over here when you can!" I mind melded to him. I then walked around the basement making sure nothing could be used to get her out. I then took more rope and tied her again. ( Just being safe) I then ran upstairs and grabbed a glass of water. Then went back down. I stood infront of her and threw the water on her face,

"Wake up." I said. I would have get answers out of her and there was only one way I knew how to with a rogue...Pain.
