'I love the person I've become, because I fought to become her.'
-Kaci DianeChapter 14
Iris' Pov
I watch him with an incredulous look on my face, I watch him trying to see if he is joking or not, he isn't. I lift a brow and purse my lips my mind pondering on his words.
"And if I'm not Iris, the woman who wants to screw you over and you're not Luca, the man I want to fucking kill whom ever will we be?" I say with mock concern.
Luca rolls his eyes at my comment before he answers with a smirk. "Two people who have never met each other until tonight. Lovers even perhaps.."
Sitting back in my seat I can't help the curious nature in me, I want to know badly what Luca is playing at and to understand, I need to play his game even if it is only for a little while.
"Fine, I have nothing to lose anyways." I shrug my shoulders.
He grins mischievously, murmuring low almost in a harsh sexy whisper. "Good girl."
Turn on.
Brushing that thought away, intending to 'start over', I outstretch my hand which Luca takes into his warm grip placing a tender kiss to my knuckles.
"Iris Harding," A small smile playing on my lips as I 'greet' him. "-Donario."
I watch as his eyes light up and his lips tug up into a smirk. "Luca Donario."
"So, what do we talk about?" I pull my hand back, averting my eyes to anywhere but him.
"Anything you want." He replies, hazel eyes watching me with far too much intensity that it makes me fidget in my seat.
"Well, uh....what's your favorite color?" My mind failing to come up with anything.
"I don't have a favorite color however I do love seeing a woman in red especially if it's lingerie." He teases, his stupid smirk still glued to his face. "In fact I'm kind of wondering what's under that dress now." He leans forward in his seat, whispering as if it's some sort of secret we're sharing.
Blushing as I remember the time I'd paraded in front of him in red lacy underwear and the fact that he admitted to wondering what I was wearing under my dress. I try to play it cool, cursing my heated face.
He's such a perv.
"Yeah, well you'll never know." I rebut, sending a quick thanks up to the server who places a glass of water before me and my companion.
"Is that a challenge, il mio amore?" He inquires, a brow quirked in question.
"If that's what you want to call it." I mutter as I sip my water.
He hums softly observing me closely, beaconing me closer I roll my eyes before leaning forward. Reaching out his hand, I couldn't help the small gasp which escapes my lips as he tucks a lock of my hair out of my face and behind my ear.
"Do you want to know something, belle? Would you like to know why I really brought you here?" He asks as if my answer won't be obvious, he straightens up and ends his sentence with. "If you'd like to know then I suggest you come over here were you can hear me better."
