I turned the wheel to pull over in the school's parking lot, we both stepped out of the car and with the electronic key, I locked the doors from a few meters away.
" Bella, Anna, hey!"
My head turned when I heard someone say my name. Blue eyes caught mine and flitted to Bella for a few seconds before his gaze fell upon me once more.
Mike Newton.
" Bella, Angela and Jessica were going on about something they wanted to tell you, you should go and see what they want."
My body tensed up a little, as I pulled down one of my earphones.
This can't be good, is this intimidation towards Bella?
The male's gaze once again caught mine as Bella walked towards the girls he mentioned.
" Hey..." He muttered, cheeks blazing with heat.
As I caught up on his nervosity, I turned curious.
" I was-uh, wondering, if, well, only if you want to----" He began rambling, his eyes looked around, never looking into mines.
I heard snickering and looked over his shoulders to see the Cullens snickering well, mostly Edward, Emmet and the pixie one.
What the hell is that guy rambling on about?
" Spit it out."
His eyes finally met mine, filled with a certain determination, his face turned serious.Shoulder tense, back straight.
" Go to prom with me."
I stayed silent and inexpressive for a few moments. Silence fell upon us. As the seconds passed, Mike seemed to lose his confidence bit by bit, turning nervous once more.
" Prom?"
" Yeah, I know it's a month away, but---"
Right, Bella surely won't be coming. She hates dancing. And she also mentioned going to Jacksonville in the car while I drove here. I have nothing to do that weekend.
" Sure." I replied.
His eyes widened.
" For real?"
" Yes. But I'll confirm it this week because I had thought of visiting my grandmother that weekend, it's her birthday."
His smile was bigger than I ever saw it.
" Great! Great. I'll see you on the bus." He replied, a grin plastered on his face. The young man walked towards his group of friends before turning around once more.
" Are you coming, Anna?" He asked, gesturing to Bella and the others.
As I took a step forward, a hand grabbed my wrist.
" Sorry, but the teacher wants her to get on our bus."
From the corner of my eye, I could see the figure of the petite pixie girl next to me. Alice Cullen.
My eyes fluttered over where she was when I talked to Mike, and I saw Edward, the bronze haired male, eyeing the chocolate-eyed friend of mine.
But when their gaze met, Bella's face contorted in a scowl, sort of, before she turned around and climbed in on the bus.Alice caught my gaze and followed it.
" Don't worry, whatever feud, they'll resolve it."
I stared at her for a while. Why did she suddenly decide to talk to me? We haven't held a conversation before, as she never spoke to me.
