In the story, you are once again (Y/N) Mustang, daughter of Roy Mustang. Not only that but you are also an alchemist, not one for the military just an alchemist.

One other thing you are deaf.

So that's about it.

You woke up just like any other day.

Silence.

Complete silence.

It wasn't always like that. It happened when you were around 6 or 7 years old. You were caught in an accident that resulted in you becoming deaf. It was also the day that your father well adoptive father found you.

~~Flashback~~

It was dark and hard to breath. There was just too much dust for you to be able to breathe properly.

You felt the heavy weight of a wood beam and other stuff that you couldn't see on top of you.

You screamed until your throat felt like it was burning yet you could barely even hear your own voice over the constant ringing in your ears.

Everything just happened so fast. You and your mom were just walking into the building when all of a sudden a large explosion was heard. During all the chaos you and your mom were separated. Everyone was running and screaming, that was the last thing you heard before the building fell on top of you and other innocent people.

You felt blood pour down from a cut on you forehead onto your eye and drops of swet going down your face.

What felt like days where only hours when you where finally able to see sunlight.

You watched as the rubble was being taken off when you saw him.

Jet black hair with eyes to match, blue military uniform, just like the ones you've seen sometimes out in town, and white gloves.

You watched him and another man get the last bit of rubble of you before he picked you up.

"Every........ill.....be....ine....ju....hol.....on"

That was the last thing you heard before you where surrounded by darkeness once again.

~~~Time skip~~~

When you woke up you were in a hospital room. Your arm connected to an iv and bandages wrapped around different places of your body.

You looked around noticing the person sitting in the chair next to your bed.

He seemed to be reading a book, not noticing you where awake yet.

He then looked up from his book, his eyes landing on you. Once he saw you awake he quickly stood up and went over to the door opening it, he seemed to be calling someone.

Just then a nurse and a doctor walked in as he moved over to the side to let them check on you.

You saw their mouth moving but you couldn't hear what they were saying. You asked them what was going on but you couldn't even hear your own voice.

You tried louder and louder but still, nothing. The nurse ,and the doctor tried to get you to calm down but you just couldn't hear them. 

You began to panic and hyperventilate. Before the doctor or the nurse could do anything the same man from earlier pushed past them and kneeled down by your bed.

He took you by your hand, making you look down to it and began to spell something out.

B-R-E-A-T-H

Breath?

You looked up to him and see him taking deep breathes motioning for you to do it also.

You copied him and slowly you breathing became normal.

You looked up to him as he looked down to you.

That was when he decided to make a decision that would change his life.

flashback end~~

Now here you are 7 years later. Daughter of the famous Flame Alchemist and alchemist in training.

Hey with your dad being a bit of a showoff, you pick up a few things on alchemy. Especially since you visited headquarters a couple times a week.

Speaking of, today you were actually heading over there to see how everyone is doing. You dad keeps you updated on everyone, but you'd rather see them all in person. 

You quickly make yourself breakfast, since your dad had to go early to finish the paper work he had be postponing, and quickly got ready to leave.

You grab you bag and head you, locking the door.

As you walked over to headquarters you had a small smile as you remembered everyone reactions when they found out that you dad was planning on adopting you.

A few were completely shocked

Others were supportive and began to give him tips and pats on the back.

And you think Armstrong went on a big rant about children and stuff.

At least that's what Hawkeye said, aka signed, anyways.

After about a half an hour walk you began to walk up the steps of the headquarters, waving to some of the people and signing back a good morning to others.

As you turned a corner you run into Hughes.

He quickly envelopes you in a hug, to which you gladly returned.

Once he put you down he began to 'talk' to you.

"Good morning (Y/N). How have you been?"

"Morning Hughes. I've been fine. You?"

"Great! Especially with my darling little Elisa to wake me up every morning"

'This guy'

"That's good"

" Wanna see some pictures of her?"

" Sure but only a couple, I got to see dad"

The easiest way to escape is to say yes but tell him for only a bit.

After finally being able to escape your godfather, you headed over to your dad's office.

Opening the door you saw everyone there with the exception of Riza, who is most likely running an errand.

Probably the only reason no one is doing anything productive.

What you didn't know was that she was bringing someone that would change your life.
