*this is the ULTIMATE KLANCE SONG IM SERIOUS GUYS*
It was no surprise to anyone; Keith was a hothead.
He got angry at a lot of things, and a lot of the time, it was Lance.
What Keith didn't know, however, was that Lance was willing to do anything to protect Keith.
And really, not just Keith. He was willing to do anything to protect just about anyone.
But Lance was loud. And annoying.
At least that's what Keith would say to his face.
But Keith knew deep down Lance was a good person. A better person than he'd ever be. Others couldn't see it. Maybe Hunk could, but Hunk gave everyone the benefit of the doubt anyway. The team made fun of Lance all the time, and normally it was all in good fun, but sometimes Keith could almost see the confidence drain from Lance's eyes when someone called him "dumb" or "the goofball."
Lance didn't take it well, he never does. You would think that by now his teammates would lay off him a bit, but really, it had gotten worse.Keith really did love Lance.
For some reason, he really loved Lance.
He loved his tan, sun-kissed skin.
He loved his deep blue eyes.
He loved his laugh, and no, not the fake one he used when trying to impress someone, but his real laugh.
He loved it when you could hear Lance singing while getting ready, knowing Lance didn't know he was being listened to.
But Keith couldn't let Lance know this.______________________
"Keith, you impossible!" Lance shouted, inches away from his face.
Like it was stated previously, Keith was a hothead. It was a mission that only Keith and Lance took on, and as they stood in the Black Lion's cockpit, arguing on the way back to the castle, Keith couldn't help but think about how it was the worst way to bond with your crush.
Often times when Keith got angry during a mission, he would lash out on people, even if they were innocent.
Keith felt guilty every time, but his stubbornness often got the best of him, and he would try to forget about it.
"Well what do you want me to say, Lance? Do you want me to turn Black around and go apologize to those prisoners?" Keith shouted back. "Everything was fine! I was handling it!" Lance scoffed before putting his head in his hands.
"You made such a big noise, which got those stupid Galra's attention. You could have died!" Lance said, crossing his arms against his chest.
Why did Lance even care?
"Is that what this is about? Seriously?" Keith hissed.
"Well, yeah, maybe." Lance said through gritted teeth.
"That's not- are you serious?" Keith stepped so close to Lance, their foreheads practically touch. "What are you so afraid of?!"
Lance grabbed Keith by the collar, and Keith flinched, excepting a punch.Lance kissed him.
Once the shock wore off, his gave into the kiss.
They let go."Losing you, okay?" Lance sounded small. "Losing you."

Lance loved Keith.
Keith loved Lance.
But then Keith lost Lance.
He couldn't remember much before he saw Lance step in front of him, shielding him from the gunshot. The wound was too big, there was too much blood.
"Lance, hey, Lance? Look at me okay?" Keith gently shook Lance, as he held him up right, ignoring the fight going on around them. Lance's chest plate was covered him red, along with his teeth. "It's going to be fine, okay?"
"Keith? I can't breath..." Lance's breaths were choppy but slow, his eyes full of tears.
"Shh, don't cry alright? I'm right here. I'm not leaving you." Words tumbled out of Keith's mouth. He remembered watching death scenes on tv, and thinking how cheesy they were, they always said the same things.
Yet he couldn't think of anything else to say to the love of his life.
"You need to...tell my f-family," Lance gripped Keith's shoulder. "About me. Don't let them s-suffer any...more." Lance lazily started drifting back.
"No, no, hey don't!"Lance was dead.
Keith.
Keith.
Keith.
"Keith! Wake up." Lance shook Keith awake. Keith's eyes snapped open, being greeted with Lance's face in his, full of concern.
He was laying in hi-no, their bed.
Lance was completely fine.
"What...?"
"You had a nightmare. Wanna talk about it?" Lance inquired, pulling the covers over the two of them a bit more.
"Not really." Keith said, feeling a lump in his throat. Lance snuggled closer to Keith.
"Okay, then go back to sleep, alright?" Keith nodded.
As the two of them drifted back to sleep, Keith still had something to say.
"Lance?"
"Yes?" He mumbled.
"I'm scared to lose you too."We laughed, we fumble
We take it day by day
What more can I say?
