Chapter 39: "Run And Do Nothing But Run"

"i will shoot," The man pointed the gun at Jack.
"Don't. Don't," Noah pleaded. The man slowly walked over to Jack the end of the gun pointed to him.
"Take me instead, please."
"Noah don't — ah!" Jack said, his voice going high pitched at the end, the man stepping on his chest.
"Take me, leave him," Noah demanded, his voice strict.
"Only if you insist," The man said. He kicked Jack in the ribs and yanked Noah's arm, pulling him towards his van. He threw Noah in the back and Jack stood up and ran towards the car. The man hopped in and drove off. Jack used everything he had to run after the van.
"Noah! Noah!" He screamed, trying to run faster. His lungs were on fire, his whole body in agony.
For Noah, just run faster Jack. For Noah!
The man took a shape right, making Jack trip and face plant.
"No!" He screamed as the van went out of his sight.
"Noah! Noah!" He screamed, he felt tears stream out pf his brown eyes, then falling helplessly onto his freckles cheeks. He sat there, on his knees, tears falling, him just wanting to see Noah's face and hug him and never let go.
