"I've missed out so much this years" Your date said as he fake cried when he heard a lot of your funny stories and all the things you've done without him.

You laughed and continued talking aka joking about random and stupid things while he ate some sweets he ordered in the tiny bakery you both went at.

You couldn't help but to stare at him

He had a black cap which hid his now blonde hair, his face looked way skinnier than before but still had his cute cheeks, his adorable freckles under his eyes still there, his sharp nose, plump lips and don't forget that amazing jawline. He's still so damn attractive

He noticed you staring at him so he stared back admiring your features, making you blush and avoid his gaze.

He laughed lovingly and let you take some of his food.

"Just ask if you want to take a pic I don't mind" He said making you blush harder.

He excused himself quickly and picked up his leftovers, you saw him go to the cashier and pay for the sweets you both ate. You touched your still red cheeks

Shit I exposed myself! Good one Caro!

He smiled at you and you stood up, both leaving money for the waiter and going out of the store. He passed his arm around your shoulder and you leaned on his side, you unconsciously smiled when you heard people's comments about you two being goals. After some minutes of a comfortable silence you decided to ask something really important to you.

"D-Do you perhaps know what day is it today?" You asked, trying to hide your true emotions about that question

Today is my birthday btw

He moved his arm from around your shoulder, putting them inside his pockets while he bit his lip, thinking about his answer

"I think it's December the 28th right?" He asked tilting his head to the side while looking at you confused or so you thought

"Oh ok..." You mumbled trying to hide the dissapointment in your voice. Was it too bad that you expected a happy birthday from him after 10 years

"Aaaaanddd my best friends birthday!" He suddenly said excited while backhugging you and putting his chin on top of your head.

"I thought you forgot for a sec" You admitted while looking at the floor smiling

He did remember...

"How can I forget!? You are one of the most important person's in my life~" He said, giving you an adorable eye smile.

"I wanted to do those cliches in the movies about not knowing your birthday and making a surprise party but I couldn't see your dissapointed face that would break my weak heart"  He stopped hugging you and put an arm around your waist pulling you closer to him and giving you a kiss in the cheek.
