WHAT ARE AESOP'S FABLES

Long ago, in Ancient Greece, there lived a slave called AESOP. He seems to have been an ugly man, but people liked him because he told such amazing stories; they were ‘fables', or stories with moral.
AESOP was a very observant man, who noticed people's faults, and wove them into his stories, often making the people themselves into animals. When his master, King Croesus, sent him with some money to Delphini, for instance, the greedy people asked for more, and Aesop told them the story of a man who killed the Goose who laid golden eggs.
