(Y/N) entered Inkwell Hell diligently, anxiety filled in her mind. She approached the doors, but stood at them for quite a while. She didn't want to open it, but before she could even have the chance to open it, it began to slowly open. Someone had began to open the door.
Her heart started to beat quickly as she swallowed in fear as the door opened. Once the door was fully open, a man seemed to be standing on the other side, smiling widely. "How do ya do? Haven't seen you 'round here before!" He exclaimed, fidgeting with his bowtie. He seemed to have a dice for a head; and a really nice shade of purple on his suit. "I-I u-uh-" (Y/N) stuttered, still filled with social anxiety.
"Say, ya look kinda odd. I ain't never seen anything like you before!" He said, poking (Y/N)'s shoulder. "O-Oh uh s-sorry. " (Y/N) apologized, as she turned red from the fear of physical contact. "Hey, it's alright, oh i'm sorry I ain't even gotten the chance to intoduce myself yet. I'm King Dice! What's ya name?" He asked.
"U-Uh (Y/N)." She whispered. "So are ya just gonna sit there like a chained dog or are ya gonna come on in?" He asked. "Oh s-sorry." She said, before shuffling into the casino.
"What the hell was that (Y/N)??" (Y/N) thought to herself, as she paced down the casino. "Can you not fucking talk to people today??"
There was an assortment of play tables to go to, but the one in the back caught (Y/N)'s eye. King Dice was standing at that table and observing the game play out. She wanted to impress him. But she wasn't sure why.
She slowly came over and sat down at the table King Dice was observing, and he happened to notice. "Well hiya (Y/N), ya gonna play poker with these guys over here?" He asked. She nodded her head, and everyone turned their head towards her. "Woah I ain't seen a girl here since I was 7. She's a pretty one, too!" One guy said.
"Mhm, she looks kinda strange though, doesn't she?" Another one said. "Yeah, but she's kinda hot in a strange way. Hey, how 'bout we ditch poker and you come back with me?" One said, turning towards (Y/N). Every player at the table tried talking (Y/N) into sleeping with them, while King Dice observed, looking subtly annoyed. (Y/N) was getting quite annoyed with it as well, but she didn't want to say anything.
"You look kinda weird, I bet you're into some weird things hehe-"
"Alright how about all of you shut the fuck up and play some goddamn poker?!" King Dice yelled. His eyes didn't seem the normal blackish color anymore. They looked..a very light shade of mint green. Him yelling even scared (Y/N) a bit, as it scared everyone else at the table. Everyone stood silently and played poker.
(Y/N)'s turns were quite lucky. She kept winning, but she wasn't even good at it. Either she was fucking amazing, or everyone there was shit at playing poker. King Dice seemed surprised at how amazing she was at poker. He couldn't even speak; she couldn't lose.
He was amazed at the winning streaks she was on, when he finally spoke. "Oh my! This lady can't lose can she?" He exclaimed. (Y/N) was winning tons of money, so much to where she could pay two debts if she wanted. But then she eventually lost a game, having been cheated out, and lost every single coin. All except 5. She decided to cut it off there and just leave before she got into a confrontation with the devil himself, but it was too late.
Before she could leave, he sat down at the table with her, and King Dice's smile dropped in an instant. "Why hello (Y/N). Got that money you owe me?" He smiled. She whimpered, and pushed the small amount of 5 coins over towards him. But King Dice reached his arm out and blocked the coins from reaching him. "How 'bout I pay for this one boss?" He asked. The devil looked at him strangely, and started laughing uncontrollably. King Dice looked at him with a serious just saddened face. "What the hell are you up to Dice? This isn't like you at all! Oh I see, you want her soul hehe~"
"Not exactly, boss. I-I uh just have a lot 'a coins I don't n-need so I thought I'd do somethin' generous." King Dice spoke, pulling out a large bag of coins. "Whatever you're doin' Dice, it must be devious as hell because I can't see your motives at all haha!" The devil laughed. "Uh, yeah. Devious..." King Dice muttered, before handing the devil 3,000 coins.
"Well this violates her contract so it's not valid, but I'll keep the money anyway haha!" The devil laughed, before growing in size and looming over (Y/N). "You know what we do to dead beat debtors like you?" The devil smiled. King Dice kept his eyes shut and tried to turn away. (Y/N) looked over at King Dice and tried to silently plead for help.
He turned around slowly and looked her in the eyes. His eyes were light green again, but not in an angry manner. His cheeks had streams of tears on them. "Is he ...crying?" She thought.
He wiped his face with a handkerchief and walked over to her slowly. "Here. Don't tell boss I did this." He whispered, sneakily handing her a small bag contained with 3,000 coins under the table. She smiled at him and mouthed a thank you before calling to the devil. "I-I do have your money!" She said, giving him the bag. "My my, looks like I don't have to kill you today. What a shame." He sighed, before teleporting back to his office.
(Y/N)'s emotions weren't being very kind, and she began to cry. She was scared for her life at that moment and she was so glad King Dice had payed for her, and she let all of her emotions out on the poker table. Her tears were falling onto the chips and the guys at the table were trying to comfort her.
"Hey it's alright, why don't you come with me and get away from all of these pricks?" A guy asked, touching her shoulder. Another guy pulled (Y/N) close to him. "Don't go with him he's a pervert. How about we go out sometime, I'll make those sad thoughts go away." He said. King Dice lost it at this point. He grabbed (Y/N)'s hand and led her into a room. "Stay right here." He muttered, before shutting the door. (Y/N) could hear screaming and loud noises. Most specifically, King Dice screaming at them.
She pressed her ear against the door and tried to listen to it, but the sound of the other guys screaming was overlapping what he was yelling, so she just down on the floor and waited. A few moments later, he opened the door. His eyes were a vibrant light green and his tailcoat was extremely wrinkled and dirty. And the other guys were nowhere to be seen.
"Sorry 'bout that, they were causin' a bit a' havoc so I had to kick 'em out." King Dice sighed, before sitting down on the floor with (Y/N). "Ya alright? I saw ya cryin' back there and I wanted to make sure you were okay." He muttered in his normal cheery yet devious attitude. "Better question, why were you crying?" (Y/N) asked. King Dice slightly stopped making eye contact and just stared at nothing.
"Heat of the moment, I suppose." He said, adjusting his bowtie. "Well, I think I'm just gonna leave, you already payed my debt. Thank you, by the way." (Y/N) smiled. "No problem, ya needed it." King Dice smiled back. King Dice got up from the floor and opened the door. "Guess I'll see ya around (Y/N)." He smiled, before escorting her out the casino.
"Ya gonna come back?" He asked.
"Maybe." (Y/N) smiled.
