Sunday, July 23rd

After letting it sink in more, Adrien ran back to the table in the dining car. His felt a small smile tugging on his cheeks."What took you so long?" Plagg asked. The plate of cheese Adrien ordered for Plagg was already filled with many half-eaten bites.

"I-I saw...I saw mom my?" Adrien remarked. "Um, I mean, I saw my mom!" His eyes beamed at the thought. Gorilla looked up from his newspaper to hear the news. "I didn't get a good look, but I'm positive it was her."

"Well, where is she?"

Adrien groaned. "She ran off before I could find her. I needed the bathroom so I couldn't chase after her." He took out his phone and looked at his lock screen picture of him and his mom. It's definitely her! He eagerly thought

"Gorilla, is Father still working in his room?" Adrien questioned. Gorilla nodded. "After eating, I'm going to tell Father, then we can search for her on the cars!" Adrien started to cut the piece of chicken in front of him fast so he can finish eating.

"What if you wait to tell Gabe, and become Chat Noir so you can search the train in half the time." Plagg suggested.

Adrien shook his head.

"He....should....know that.....mom is somewhere....on this train." Adrien slowly said in between bites of food. Adrien was rushing to finish, but he's taking his time to chew. (Never eat so fast that you can choke, take small bites.)

"Have it your waay.." Plagg bickered.

After finishing dinner (and dessert cuz Plagg begged), Adrien and Gorilla went back to the sleeping car, and to Gabriel's room. Plagg hid in Adrien's jacket pocket. Nathalie was getting coffee and tea from the small machines on a counter near the stairs in the car.

In the room, papers were scattered across the entire tiny table. Gabriel was frantically writing.  He saw people out of the corners of his tired eyes, but wasn't sure who. "Nathalie, is that you?" He threw out a broken pen. "Did you grab my tea?"

"Yes, and Adrien is here too." Nathalie said before placing the tea in front of Gabriel, and drinking her coffee.

"What is it?" Gabriel grudglying looked away from his work. "If you have questions for tomorrow then just ask later. I'm far too busy for questions." Gabriel reached over to his tea.

"I saw mom!" Adrien blurted out. Nathalie stopped typing and looked up in shock. Gabriel dropped his tea on the table. The tea spilled off the table and created seven canals of tea on the carpet; staining the ground in a snake-like pattern.

"Are..are you sure?" Gabriel muttered. He reached over to pick up the now-empty cup.

"Yes! I bumped into her by accidently, she was covering her face  bit, but I'm positive it was her." Adrien laughed. "We have to find her. Figure out what happened. She was heading towards the dining car, so she could be eating right over-"

"Enough, Adrien!" Gabriel snapped. "I will deal with this. You wait here."

"Father, I want to see mom again. I want to know what happened." Adrien pleaded once more.

Gabriel growled. "Adrien, do you really want to know the truth?!" He shouted. "About Lilith's disappearance?! She left. It wasn't forced! It wasn't ransom. She didn't love me anymore. She didn't love you, and she left. I tried to spare you the truth, but you keep trying to force maters into your own hands!"

Before Adrien knew what happened, tears formed in his eyes. "What?" He whispered. Blacks splotches appeared in his vision, he felt dizzy. He fell to the ground. Adrien fainted. The last view he saw was Gabriel coming over and shaking his head..., in disappointment.

...

A black little cat. Tiny cat. Very small. No not a cat. a kwami. Plagg.

"Plagg." Adrien stated. He felt his head. A headache welcomed his back to conscious.

"Hi kid. How was your cat nap?" Plagg responded.

Adrien started to remember everything from before he fainted. Going to his father. Finding out about his mom. Adrien was in his own small room, right next to his father's room. "MOM!" Adrien realized. He started to get up. Nathalie, who Adrien didn't see there, stopped him.

"Adrien, don't get up. You need to rest." She commanded.

"I need to find mom...where's Father?" Adrien wondered allowed.

"He went to find where your mom allegedly is. He ordered Gorilla and I to watch you. Make sure you didn't try to find your mother." Adrien looked out the clear door and saw Gorilla standing watch.

"And you're going to listen to him?"

"It's my job. So, yes."

"But this is Adrien's mom; he has to know what happened. What Gabriel said happened is total bull-" Plagg cut in.

"No cursing, Plagg!" Nathalie scolded.

"Well, do you know anything?!" Plagg argued.

Nathalie sighed, before speaking she took a sip of her coffee. "Gabriel paid the police to keep all the information on Lily private. Only Gabriel can access the files. He hasn't mentioned if anything on her was found, but bringing her up upsets him."

"Father said Mom left us, but she wouldn't! You knew her before she was married. Do you think she would leave us?" Adrien mumbled.

"I knew her for a long time before the marriage but that's a long story...but no she wouldn't abandon her family."

"Wait, you knew Adrien's mom before  Gabriel and never mentioned anything?" Plagg questioned. He flew up in the air. "Is there anywhere she'd run away too?"

"Not that I know of. She was happy here." Nathalie said. She looked at her watch. "Anyway, I should continue work." Plagg slyly smiled at a thought at escape. "But, you both must stay here. Your Father's orders. Gorilla will continue guarding the doors."

"Mind reader."  Plagg muttered. Nathalie ignored Plagg. "What if Adrien needs the bathroom?" He joked.

"That's why Adrien's father spent the extra money on rooms that come with bathrooms within the room, Plagg." She responded blankly. She got up and took a step towards the door.

"Nathalie." Adrien called after her. "Can you tell us a bit about my mom before she was married later, if you get the chance?"

"If I have time."
