Lucky Number Seven

I wake up and pull my covers back. "Second day of school..." I say with a sigh. I get up and put on my clothes and do my nails, hair, and makeup. I put on my red converse and do my hygiene necessities. I hear whining, so I look down to see Allison. "Hi there, pup." Allison wags her tail and I bend down. "Where's Meredith?" She runs downstairs, as well do I, to see Meredith on the couch. She looks up at me and laughs. "It's Saturday." I smile. " Oh, yeah. I forgot."

I see the tear stains on her cheeks, but I don't ask. "Hungry?" I ask and she nods. " Actually, yes. This hangover is killing me." I walk to her and help her up. "McDonald's?" She nods and I go upstairs with her. "Let's get you dressed." I help her strip, and I see the hickies and bruises. "Did it hurt?" I don't look at her, instead, I help her put on pants. "What do you mean? The bruises? Of course it hurt. The man was rough. I wish I knew his name."

I find myself gritting my teeth. "You don't know his name?" I ask in a harsh tone. "Don't be an ass to me. Yes, I don't know his name, but he was good in bed." I roll my eyes. "Your keys?" She shrugged. I sigh and her dog paws me. I look down to see the set of keys in her mouth. "Well, thank you. Good girl." I take the keys and pet her. "Let's go." I put Meredith's socks and shoes on her.

"Thank you, Bells." I smile. "You're welcome." I help her outside and into the jeep. "I want burritos." She says, making me laugh. "Okay, Mary. You can have burritos. Drive-Thru or Walk-In?" She lays her head back. "We can go inside. It'll be fine." I nod and drive there. When I look over, Mary's asleep. "Poor baby girl." I shake her and her eyes flutter open. "We're here, Mary." She nods and sleepily unbuckles herself. We go in and she sits at a booth.

"May I help you, miss?" I smile and walk up to the cashier. " Yes, I would like a large orange juice, two sausage burritos, a large sweet tea... and a sausage mcgriddle, please." The girl smiles. "That will be $7.12." I hand her the money and she gives me my ticket. I rush to Meredith and sit down. "We're number 271." She nods and I hold her hand. "You seem upset, Mary." She nods and she tears up.

"Hey, don't cry baby girl." I stand beside her and hug her. "What's wrong?" She holds my arms and i feel her touch my cuts. "H-He didnt use protection." I nod. "So used b-" She shook her head no, before I finished. "So, there could be a baby in you?" She nods. "271!" I run, grab our food, and run back to the booth. "Okay, you eat and feed my new best friend." Mary laughs. "Your new best friend? Am I being replaced?" " Totally. It'll be way cuter. " we laugh amd eat our delicious food.
