You shrieked and sat up, scanning your surroundings to make sure that that didn't just happen. All you saw were books. Lots of books. As well as dimly lit candles. A tune was playing in the background and you shamelessly admitted that it was painful for the ears. Too depressing.
You soon heard footsteps and someone appeared at the door. You watched her closely, examining every inch of her body. She sat down beside you and pushed you down on what you suddenly noticed was a bed that you had been sleeping on. She rested her hand on your forehead and nodded.
"Helena?" You questioned, not sure if it really was her. She nodded once more and got up.
"Four days..." She said and walked towards the door. Then she stopped.
"You have been unconscious for four days..." Then she walked out. You got up too and threw the covers aside. Then planted your feet on the floor. You slowly stood up as you were feeling a bit dizzy. Once your vision had cleared you followed behind her. You looked around the place, amazed by all the books that were there. She turned at a corner and entered what seemed to have been a kitchen. There was barely anything inside.
"You should eat. You look famished." She opened a drawer and pulled out what was in there. Then headed to the stove.
"Helena!..." You yelled out, making her stop what she was doing. Then she continued.
"You don't have to do any more... You've already done enough... keeping me here was enough..." You looked down at the floor and whispered the next part,"And I'm grateful for that." She sighed and placed the contents on the table, then took ahold of your shoulder.
"I should do whatever I can for a fellow vampire... I can tell," She walked back to the table.
"...that you were running away from Them." Then she turned on the stove."You're lucky to have escaped from them... Very few are this lucky." She pulled out a pot and filled it with water, then sat it on the stove for the water to heat up.
"I doubt Alucard would let you go this easily... There must be something special about you..." She grabbed the contents and began to empty them in the pot.You nodded and sighed,
"Perhaps... the only thing he said to me, was that I was 'true' vampire." You winced when she dropped the contents on the floor. You looked at them, and then turned your gaze up to her. She turned around, a pained look on her face and walked to you.She placed her hand right by your heart, listening to it beating. She closed her eyes and you were hit by a bright red light, clouding your vision. It soon disappeared and she pulled her hand away.
"Indeed you are... as I thought, there is something special about you." You shook your head and stepped back."But what is that?... What is a true vampire. How are they different from the rest?" She looked up at your eyes and gazed straight into them.
"A true vampire... is a vampire like Alucard... and I." Your eyes widened and you shook your head again.
"How can I be?... Aren't you... immortal?"She nodded and pointed at you.
"I am... and you are too." Your eyes widened in shock. In disbelief.
"I-i don't understand." She turned back to the stove and looked down at the contents.
"I didn't know before... I guess you won't need this." She picked them up and threw them in the bin. Then she went to another drawer and pulled out a pack of red liquid. She threw it towards you and you caught it, then fell on your knees. Tears brimmed in your eyes.
"So all this time..." She nodded and watched you.
"But Alucard... he said he'd kill me...""He can't... I bet he was just trying to scare you... but believe me. You can't kill a true vampire." She walked out of the room and left you behind. You ripped a bit of the packet opened and drank from it. The liquid felt good flowing down your throat. You soon got up and threw the empty packet into the bin, then left the room too.
To be continued.
