I was sitting on my apartment floor with my 4 year old daughter. We were playing Barbie's and got interrupted by my phone going off. I noticed it was Myta Herron, one of my daughters friend's mom, so I answered.

Hi! How are you and Kate?
We're good! I just moved into a new apartment closer to our schools and babysitter so it all works out great!
Well speaking of babysitting, could you come and watch Reese? Me and Josh have to go to Florida and I know it last minute but my mom just had a hear attack and-
I'll be there in 10 just need to pack me and Catherine a bag for a few days.
I would ask Zach but he's always out and-
Myta it's fine! Go pack and I'll be there soon.

"Kate, pack some toys in your book bag baby. We're going to Reese's house for afew days," I told my daughter.
She smiled widely and began packing toys while I got the things we would need. My parents didn't approve of me since I had Kate at 17 but Myta had always stuck around. That's why as soon as she asked I agreed. She had always been there for me and I loved that about her. Her family was mine, well except for Zach. He's always kind of been a douche but I haven't seen him in awhile because I've been busy with college and Kate and he's been away at college until now. I wasn't excited to see him but Myta needed me so I had to do what I had to do.
I knew they needed to get to Florida as fast as possible so it only took me a couple of minutes to pack. I quickly scooped up Kate and our belongings and left towards the Herron's. When I got there, Reese waited outside while Myta stuffed the car with her and Josh's luggage. I unbuckled a vibrant Kate and put all of our bags inside while the girls hugged and laughed. Myta said her quick goodbyes and left. They took Ryan too since him and his grandma we're closer then the other Herron kids.
Reese and Kate played on the living room while I cooked dinner. The back door opened to reveal Zach.
"Oh my gosh! Is that Ms.Y/n Y/ln?" Zach playfully states.
"Zachary Herron all grown up!" I play along.
We hug and he sits at the counter and talks to me as I cook.
Timeskip
The girls were asleep in Reese's room which left me and Zach in the living room watching Netflix and catching up.
"So are you dating anyone?" Zach asks out of the blue.
"Not at the moment. I'm more focused on Kate and college but I'm not apposed to dating either," I truthfully answer.
"How about you?" I add.
"Single as a Pringle," Zach says making me laugh.
"Did you not like me growing up?" I ask thinking about it.
"I actually had a huge crush on you and to be honest still do," Zach informed me, which made me blush a bit.
"Interesting," I say.
"Well I pretty much just confessed my feelings towards you so this may be a long shot but do you want go on a date?"
"I'd like that Zach!"
And that's how I started dating Zach. After about 3 dates he asked me to be his girlfriend which I agreed to. After 2 years we were moved into a 3 bedroom house. Zach proposed and we got married. A few month later I became pregnant and we had a beautiful baby boy. Kate couldn't be a better big sister and Zach couldn't be a better dad. I'm glad I babysat Reese because without doing so, I wouldn't have met the live of my life.
