The final bell ran and kids rushed out of there classrooms. There was suppose to be an afternoon basketball game that most people would attend. Steve Harrington, his crew, his girlfriend, and one of her friends would be few of the many that planned on going. Earlier that day Nicole had discovered what she thought was the truth about the oldest Byers child. While developing pictures she had taken for a class she had ran into Jonathan Byers. Jonathan was also developing photos. Not being able to keep her curiousness hidden she looked over at his pictures. She furrowed her eyebrows as she saw that the pictures were of last night when Steve Harrington had a small get together with his friends. Afterwords she ran to tell Steve what she'd seen.
Steve and his friends were waiting at the end of Jonathans car to confront him about what Nicole had seen. Steve's girlfriend was gathering her stuff from her locker with her best friend Nancy Wheeler. Jonathan walked out of the school building and towards his car. He didn't think to much about the bullies that were gathered around his car until he got closer and started to realize they wouldn't be leaving. He could hear them chatting as he got closer to the car. Steve looked up and instantly noticed Jonathan. He reset his posture and kept his hands shoved in his pockets.
"Hey, man." Steve said with fake enthusiasm. Jonathan looked up at Steve but slightly kept his back turned as if to shield himself from from the bully.
"What's going on?" Jonathan asked quietly. Steve replied immediately and him and his friends walked closer to Jonathan.
"Nicole here was just telling us about your work." He said.
"We've heard great things." One of the girls, Carol, said. Jonathan started to grow nervous as he clutched the strap of his backpack.
"Yea sounds cool." Tommy said sarcastically. Steve took a step towards Jonathan but didn't get a reaction out of the nervous boy.
"We'd just love to take a look as," Steve paused, "connoisseurs of art." Jonathan took a courageous step forward and started walking towards his car.
"I don't know what your talking about." Jonathan said nervously but continued to walk forwards.
"Oh no?" Steve said and Tommy stepped forwards and grabbed one of the straps on Jonathans backpack. Tommy yanked the backpack off Jonathans shoulders making him spin around.
"Yea?" Tommy said mockingly. Jonathan ran towards Tommy and attempted to get his backpack but failed since Tommy stepped back a couple of steps away from him.
"Please give me my bag." Jonathan pleaded but Tommy just threw his bag to Steve who held it. Steve looked at the bag and fiddled with it as he started walking towards the trunk of the car. Meanwhile Y/N and Nancy were walking out of the school trying to find there friends.
"So," Nancy dragged out, "how are things going with you and Steve?" Y/N laughed.
"Great actually." She smiled.
"You still want to go to the basketball game tonight?" Nancy asked as she scanned the crowd looking for Y/N's newer friends.
"Yea, I'm not sure if I really want to go or not. I'm kind of only going because Steve wants to go." Y/N sighed as she too scanned the crowd.
"Why don't you ask if you two can just hang out later on?" Nancy asked but then she spotted Steve but he wasn't near his car he was near Jonathans car? "Hey what's Steve doing near Jonathans car?" Nancy pointed out to where she saw Steve. Y/N narrowed her eyes towards her boyfriend and his friends as they pushed Jonathan around.
