"I told you to be gentle." A husky voice spat. Her body lay still in his servos. There was barely a heart beat, but at least it was still beating. "I'm sorry." A nervous voice came from behind. "That's not going to bring her back!" The husky voice screamed over his shoulder. He gently placed her on the counter in the med bay. "Leave before I saw you in half." Whirring from a saw blade was now heard, making the other in the room to leave in haste. "I'm so sorry, Shelby. I should of came and got you. I'm sorry." He put his servos over his red and silver plated face. He thought hard, wondering what he should do. He knew enough about humans to patch them up, but he didn't know anything about internal damage. He always thought that was gross and disgusting. The insides of a human were full of flesh, blood and other gross bodily fluids. He also never thought he was come to care for one. One that would become this broken under his care.
He leaned over her for some time. Watching her, hoping she would wake up and say she's alright, but he knew there was more damage done than meets the eye. The Autobots had destroyed Darkmount, then attempted to get onto the Nemisis to get the girl back. Dreadwing fought, he fought hard to find her. If he would of known where she was, he might have been able to save her. Knockout was torn between wishing Dreadwing had found her and glad that he hadn't. If Dreadwing had found her, maybe she would still be alive and moving. The vehicon wasn't careful at all trying to hide her. He moved her roughly, not caring that she was being thrown around the box. Knockout had told him to be careful. He should of never trusted someone else to get her. If he hadn't been occupied fighting the Autobots, he would of gotten her. He would of made sure she was safe.
This is all his fault. Now he had to live with this. If Dreadwing ever did find out, he would surly make his termination as painful as possible. Starting with his finish. He needs to get her to a real human doctor. He had nothing to be able to help her. The problem he faced was how is going to get her there. He would have to get off the Nemisis without Megatron finding out. Megatron wouldn't care if she lived or not. Maybe Knockout could convince him that she could still be used as leverage against the Autobots. He needed to think of something fast. Who knows how long she would last. He looked back down at her still body. You couldn't even tell she was breathing. He only knew if he watched her very close and saw her chest slowly rise and fall. It was there. The breath was there. That's all that mattered to him at this point.
He made his decision. He was going to get her out of here. No matter the price. He would contact the Autobots and get her to them. She needed to be safe. She needed to be safe. Something he kept repeating to himself. He grabbed a clean rag, it was the only thing he had that was closer to her size. He, as gently as he could, wrapped her in it. Once he knew she was safely wrapped up, he picked her up in his servo and held her close to her chest. He then left the med bay and headed to the ground bridge. Not before stopping at a communication desk to send a quick message. He was so afraid to lose her, not because Dreadwing would rip out his spark, no, because he had started to fall for her himself. Though he knew she belonged to Dreadwing. She was his spark mate, whether the two knew it or not. The least he could do was make sure she lived.
*With the Autobots*
"Optimus we are receiving an encrypted message." Ratchet said not taking his eyes off the screen. Optimus made his way over to the computers, though Dreadwing was the first to get there. They all were hoping it was a sign. Since the fall of Darkmount and being unable to rescue Shelby, they all had been worried they were to late. "Read it, Old friend." Optimus spoke. "It's from Knockout!" The others started to chatter around them. "Is it something about Shelby?" Dreadwing spoke up. "Please come to these coordinates. I have what you are looking for. Bring your medical officer." Ratchet read. "What are we waiting for? Lets go!" Dreadwing demanded. "What if it's a trap?" Arcee brought up. "If it's what we think it is. We need to go check it out. Dreadwing you will stay here. Ratchet grab your medical kit." Optimus ordered. "Optimus, I need to go. If it's Shelby, she's going to want me. Please." Dreadwing begged. Never had anyone or himself think he would beg to a Prime. This situation was different. "No, I don't want your anger to get the best of you." Optimus stated walking to the ground bridge.
