Junior Year of College:
Krissy's Point of View
Arriving in the warm weather, I felt at ease. I was as far away from school as possible. It was September and not freezing cold like in Connecticut. I was visiting my boyfriend, surprising him at his first game of the season. I had just gotten out of the taxi that led me to Sophie's home. She was my accomplice in my plan to surprise Blake. She had been keeping tabs on his every move and helping plan my trip. I was going to drop off my things and then we were going to make our way to the football stadium. I rang the doorbell, waiting for her to open the door. I was standing in front of her home. It was a two story building with big, beautiful windows and a white french door. The front yard had beautiful, colorful flowers planted and bright green grass growing. What made it even better was that it was just a few blocks from the beach."Oh my god! Krissy! You are finally here. Come in." Sophie said as she opened the door. She gave me a tight hug before leading me inside. I grabbed my duffel bag and shut the door behind me. We walked straight into the living room. It was rather large with a brown couch and a matching love seat. A flat screen tv hung on the wall, opposing the grand window that looked out to the front yard. Pictures were hung around the room with a small glass coffee table over a purple rug sat in the center.
"You know where Blake's room is. You can just drop your stuff there. You have your special jersey right?" Sophie asked. I nodded, sliding it out of my duffel bag. It was a light blue jersey with the words Tyler's Girlfriend on the back with the number 17. He had given it to me for Christmas our freshmen year. I was hesitant on wearing it, but Blake assured me that he didn't care if people gave me weird looks. He wanted everyone to know I was his girl.
"I'll be back in a sec." I said climbing up the staircase. I walked down the hall towards Blake's room. Him and Asher lived with Sophie, Adam, and their parents. Although, Blake usually stays at the fraternity house he parties with.
Even three years later, Blake has attempted to maintain his bad boy image. The only part he doesn't keep is the fact that he isn't that playboy everyone wanted. He doesn't sleep with random girls anymore. He hasn't since he met me. He does still party and drink, which I have told him to stop, but he doesn't listen. I swear if that boy gets caught, he's going to be in huge trouble.
Walking into Blake's room, I noticed the mess he has. Clothes and books are everywhere. I'm guessing he was doing some last minute studying before the game. He does take school seriously now. He's majoring in sports management. I drop my bag off on his bed and slip the jersey on. I was glad I had on my favorite pair of ripped dark wash skinny jeans on and my pair of white slip on Vans. I looked in the mirror on his dresser, satisfied with my look. My hair was still in curls from this morning and my makeup was still in tact. I was ready to see my boyfriend.
It had been about 10 months since I last saw him. He came to Connecticut for Christmas. He stayed a couple of days. We didn't really get alone time because all his high school friends wanted to see him. I was alright with it in the moment, but afterwards, not so much. He then promised to fly back during the summer, but football didn't give him the time. I also didn't have time to fly to see him. I was working to pay for school, even though my grandpa insists on paying for it. I also worked as volunteer at one of the local law firms. All I did was make copies and food runs, but it was still fun. I got to see what a law firm is like. I am definitely looking forward to it.
"Krissy!" Sophie shouted. I widened my eyes before running out of the room. I was careful not to trip over the stairs and found Sophie by the door. "Come on. We don't wanna miss the game."
