The others are gone, I'm taking my time to get to where everyone else is. I sorta stalled finding and repairing all of my weapons from the battlefield. Apparently the wave went through metal. I glance at the small message on my hand which reads:
Stay for the celebration
I no longer want to just leave after the battles, I want to stay for the celebration, even if I'm not going to participate in it. Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, they are all my friends. Time is limited. Time disappears.
I finally make it to the clearing. I stay there for a few minutes before I am noticed by anyone. Hermione sees me. She looks so different.
"Who are you?" she asks.
"No one," I mutter, just now realizing that I'm still in my hiding illusion. Even my locket is invisible. "I'm just waiting for someone to wipe my mind."
"I can do it."
"No, you can't, thanks though," I say smiling, looking at the ground. Sara notices me and comes over.
"I'll take her," she says.
"Alright," Hermione says looking between us, probably already suspecting something, before leaving. Sara and I walk from the clearing where I take down the illusion and all my shields, keeping the hand with the message hidden in a fist. Sara takes a deep breath before wiping around wand raised, the spell already shooting from the wand. I wouldn't be fast enough to protect myself, even if I wanted to.
***
I watch from my vantage point over the bunker as the Rebels get somewhat in position. Another me follows Luke and Vader on the Death Star. Another me waits in the dead of space, watching, and yet another concentrates on sensing everything. Moments before this battle starts, I get the funny feeling that I've forgotten something important, but I shrug it off. If I did, it must be for a good reason, probably something to do with something in the future, time parallax related. Something I will know about when I am ready.
