"The man cave!" Ray said raising his eyebrows. Ray and Valery drove towards Swellview. Valery saw towns filled with people. Everyone was laughing and having a nice time. Valery's eyes laid upon a family that was talking to each other and laughing. They all were smiling and looked like all their cares in the world melted like candle wax, soon going to cool down.
They approached Junk and Stuff. They walked into the store and saw Gooch. "Hello!" Gooch said. Valery's head exploded with visions. "Let go of me!" A little girl said. "Let go of her or else!" Valery said. "Or else what?" A man said. BANG! Valery heard a gunshot and her stomach was burning! Valery collapsed to the floor, searing in pain. Valery started to feel weaker and weaker and her lungs felt as though they were balloons which had just popped. Her eyelids fell slowly and she heard Ray and Gooch surround her. "She's bleeding! Valery's body was achy and she woke up slowly. She felt her back and felt two large lumps on her back and felt a small cut on each of the lumps. Her stomach had wires attached to it and saw Schwoz. "You were bleeding but there isn't any cuts or open wounds." "My back-" "Has open wounds but you were bleeding from you stomach." "So blood just magically came out of me?" Valery asked. "I guess, but me and Ray both think you have Clyuimplific acid poisoning." "And?" "We think you might have the ability to predict the future." "Is that why I see visions of things and hear voices?" "Does the things you see happen in real life?" Schwoz asked.
"Yeah. For example I saw the key that unlocked the safe that held the birth certificate of Ray." "Precognition."Schwoz said. Valery's back felt heavy. "Can you get the wires off my back?" Valery said, thinking the wires were the reason for the weight.
"No wires are on your back." Schwoz stated. Valery turned her body so he could see her back. "Huh.. you have dry blood on your back." "Probably from the open cuts-" Valery gasped while she was speaking. Her back was burning. Not this again! "Are you okay?" "Yeah, the cuts just hurt."
A few days later
Valery went to her Aunt Macy's strawberry farm in Swellview. She had to get away, Ray didn't want Kid Danger to see her or her to see him. Ray told Valery all about being Captain Man and about the crazy adventures on the way there. Valery grew to like him but felt he was a little immature. As Valery was walking in the fields, her toes clenched the grass. She smelled the strawberries and the scent of farm life.
