I've Got Everything to Lose-*Sequel*-Ross Lynch

*2 months later*

Natalie's POV

Rydel had her baby last month. They named him Jase Michael Ratliff. He was born on January 16th, exactly a month after Rhylee. They're coming to visit us when I'm on spring break at the end of next month.

I go back to school today. I'm kinda scared. I don't want to leave Rhylee all day, it's going to be hard.

When I get out of the shower, Ross is awake and feeding Rhylee.

"It's going to be a long day." I say.

"I know, but you'll get through it. I promise." He tells me.

I finish getting ready.

"I need to hold her one more time before I go."

I take her from Ross and give her a hug.

"I'm going to miss you." I tell her trying not to cry.

"Nat, you have to go, or you're going to be late." Ross says taking Rhylee.

"Okay. Talk to you later." I say giving him a quick kiss goodbye.

When I get to school, a few people ask me how Rhylee is.

At lunch, I call Ross.

"Hey. How's school going?" He asks answering the phone.

"It's school; can't be too great. I miss Rhylee so much." I say.

"You're halfway through the day. Just a few more hours and you'll be home."

"It's so hard."

"I can imagine."

"Okay, well I just wanted to see how your doing, I'm going to go finish eating. See you later." I say.

After hanging up the phone, Zac comes over and sits with me.

"Welcome back!" He says.

"Thanks."

"Are you okay?"

"I miss Rhylee." I say tearing up.

"A few more hours and you can go home and be with her."

Last period came faster than I thought it would.

We were about to start class when the principal comes on the pa.

"Attention seniors! Time to start thinking about prom! Go on the schools webpage to vote on a theme, venue, and see how you can get involved. Have a good rest of your day!"

"Are you going to prom?" Zac asks me.

"Um, yeah! Why wouldn't I go to prom?!" I almost yell at him.

"I don't know. I was just asking."

"Are you going?"

He just gives me a look like 'are you serious?'

"Right." I laugh. "Are you asking someone?"

"Well I've been talking to Ashley again."

"Ashley as in your ex?" I question.

"Yeah. I don't know what it is, but there's something about her that can't make me completely move on from her." He says.

"Well as long as she makes you happy."

"Yeah."

"So are you and your dad coming over for dinner tonight?"

"I think so." He answers.

"Awesome. Can't wait!"

When I get home, Ross is watching t.v with Rhylee in his arms. He passes her to me when I sit down next to him.

"How was school?" He asks me.

"It was okay. Everyone wanted to see pictures of her."

"Aw."

"There was an announcement about prom today." I tell him.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah. We're going, I hope you know that."

"We are?" He asks.

"Yes. We are." I say; "I'm not missing my senior prom. You didn't have a prom, so you're going to mine."

"Okay. So do I have to like, ask you?"

"If you want. I don't care."

We talk about the rest of the day then I start my homework.

Zac and his dad come over just as I finish.

At dinner, we talk about the upcoming baseball season since Zac plays.

"Yeah, I'm hoping I can pitch this season." He says.

"That's cool!" I say.

"Yeah. I usually play second or short-stop, but I want to try something different this year since it's my last year."

"Sweet." Ross says.

It gets kinda quiet.

"Um, I have something to say." Chris says.

"What is it hun?" Mom asks him.

Chris gets out of his chair and gets down on one knee.

"Lindsey, I know we've only been together for a little bit, but you make me so happy and I love you so much. Will you marry me?"

"Yes!" She says.

"Well, looks like we're going to be siblings." Zac says to me.

"Yep. Looks like it."
