We talked as we snuggled on bed, continuing the left conversation.

"Never do something so recklessly again. I thought I'm gonna lose you." I buried myself in his chest.

"Because I love you." Soft lips pressed on my temple with his arms tenderly wrapped around me, nestled together.

His comforting warmth, his scent, his close presence seeps within me. I've never felt this complete.

"Hey, that makes us equal."

"What do you mean?" I asked with eyes closed, feeling at ease now that he's in good condition.

"You were almost hit by a truck that time and I felt horrified by the idea of you dying on me.. I would've killed myself if that happened." A tone marked with trauma got my eyes flutter open.

I didn't know.... he ran up and chased me before.

"I was grateful for him." He uttered.

"Ryuji's a nice guy." I brought his palm up and locked it with my hand. He held back and rests his forehead on mine. "He is...." He genuinely replied.

"Speaking of which, where is that punk?" Within matter of seconds, he's back with the usual attitude towards him.

"He went back with his sister and Leorio-san. Erm... Kurapika flew out of the country too. Must be rough with Michi."

"Well, I wasn't surprised.... He already spoke that matter to us— I mean us guys, before. *ahem* ....It's just normal for couples to experience different trials." Says the toxic playboy.. I swear he's also referring to our relationship.

"That's up to how strong their love is for each other... I'm sure it'll work out somehow." I grinned.

"With that head over heels woman for him, getting between them is just as impossible with Anna and Gon." His expression turned sour.

"Why are they so diabetic??" I cringed, can't help but laugh.

"Why? Aren't we just the same?" He smirked, taking a long look on our affectionate position.

My cheeks steamed... but I didn't intend to break this momentum with him.

I turned around, my back pressing on him as he held me from behind. "I-it's a miracle you know... That you woke up sooner than expected... My prayers reached the heavens-"

"To be honest, I felt a sudden struck of chill which surged through my body. It's like I was getting electrified, bringing me back to life— Almost like an instinct that alarmed me... Hey, did something bad happened while I was out cold?"

I flinched, unable to reply from his ridiculous explanation. He woke up because of that?... This guy is amazing..

"So, something happened....wasn't it?" I noticed his stare getting tentative over me, reviewing my thoughts from my face.

My expression turned pale as I flinched for the second time, remembering a certain someone who stole a kiss from me.

"Heh.....Was it Ryuji?? I can imagine him getting chances and advantages as I lay unconscious here in bed." He spoke in low tone, ringing the bell.
