A Missing Paladin [Klance]

Narrator:
The group had arrived at the Space Mall looking around they let out a sigh of relief.

Pidge: Thank goodness no disguises this time...

Keith: We didn't really wear disguises for more than five minutes last time we were here anyway...

Pidge looked around.

Pidge: Okay, let's see if we can find a map...

Shiro: Oh there's one over there.

The group walked over to the map Keith trailing behind holding and looking at his stomach with a worried expression. He looked up at his friends who he considered his family smiling at them and then he looked at his blade, then back at his stomach.

Keith: *sigh* How am I gonna tell them...?

*kick?*

Keith: They still don't know we're Galra Soren... let alone that we're closely related to Zarkon and Hagger- Not even Pidge and Hunk know about our lineage... and... If they do find out... about, all of that... when you're born...

Keith's face went dark, he then continued in a shaky voice.

Keith: I can't let them hurt you buddy...

*kick?*

Keith: They can hurt me all they want... but, you don't deserve that... I do...

*kick...?*

Keith: I promise... I'll never let them hurt you... ever...

Tears started to fall from Keith's eyes.

*kick...?*

Keith: G-get some sleep buddy... *sniff* This is gonna take a while...

Keith felt Soren shift and drift to sleep, he managed a smile looking down at his belly.

Keith: I love you... you and your sister are the best things that have ever happened to me...

Pidge: Keith...? You okay...?

Keith wiped the tears off his face and looked up at the team who were looking at him with concern.

Keith: Oh yeah, I'm fine...

Keith followed the group into a store. They walked around for a bit, Keith walking over to a red-purple cradle and a blanket for him to carry Soren on his back, he also got some pillows and blankets for the cradle and a couple toys. One in particular that caught his eye being a White Lion stuffy.

Keith: You'd like this one right?

*shift*

Keith: *chuckles* Oh right, you're still taking a nap...

*shift*

Keith smiled and started looking at cloths, one being a purple lion themed onesie with a tail and hood on it, then another being a blue onesie that looked like a leopard which Keith smiled at. Then he grabbed some pajamas. Keith looked over at Lance who was looking around at the items.

Keith: Geez, buddy you're gonna have a really excited daddy when you're born aren't you?~

*shift*

Keith smiled at Lance and paid for the items, then walking over to Pidge and Hunk grabbing a cradle and some blankets, picking green and yellow because of their lions and because they weren't already aware of the gender.

Allura: Hi Keith.

Keith: Gah!

Allura: Oh sorry, did I scare you?

Keith: No no... just startled...

Allura: You seem a little off Keith... is everything alright?

Keith: I-I'm just surprised you're not still mad at Pidge and I...

Allura: Well I'm mostly neutral at this point, as long as it doesn't prevent the team from forming Voltron and completing missions, I'm fine with it. Besides, on the ship it's impossible to avoid giving birth since we didn't have anything for that type of scenario... well unless you count the pod Pidge made...

Keith: Heh, guess that's true...

Keith got up and started walking out of the store.

Keith: I can't find a bathroom in here so I'll have to go somewhere else.

Allura: Okay well don't be gone too long Keith.

Keith: I won't princess.

Keith walked out into the mall, he turned a corner and saw the restrooms, he walked into the red one and once he was done he walked out bumping into someone from the girls bathroom.

Keith: Oh sorry I-

He looked up at a girl wearing a Blades of Marmora pin on her shoulder, he then looked at her plum colored hair tied in two buns at the sides of her head with gray string and her yellow eyes with green irises in the middle staring at him. Galra.

Keith: Uh-

?: S-sorry...!

Keith: No it's okay. My names Keith.

?: Foxface....

Keith: Nice to meet you. Do you work for the Blades of Marmora?

Foxface: Well, I'm not an official member yet, I still have to train for three years before I'm an actual member....

Keith: I see, but why three years?

Foxface: They won't except new members unless they have at least three years of fighting experience...

Keith: Hm... Good to know, oh well I've got to go. Bye Foxface.

Foxface: Bye...

The two walked off in separate directions, Keith looking down at the ground when he suddenly heard screaming, the screams multiplied into every direction around him, he looked up and saw that everyone screaming at him. Keith then looked at his hands that were now covered in purple fur, he touched his face and knew what they were screaming at. His birthmarks, royal birthmarks that only descendants of Zarkon and Haggar would have etched on their cheeks. That's what they were screaming at, they knew exactly who his grandparents were, and it was terrifying, Keith started to feel dizzy and his hearing blurred and his vision fuzzed before he blacked out from all the sounds.
Half an Hour Later
When Keith woke up he was human again laying down on a bench with a bag of ice on his head. He took the ice off and sat up seeing two Galra talking to each other.

Keith: Wiress...?

Both Galra turned their heads and Wiress hugged Keith before pulling away.

Wiress: Oh good you're awake, Foxface said she saw you black out!

Keith: I did...?

Foxface: W-Well I saw you fall down and you weren't really moving so I called Wiress so she could check and see if you were okay.... do you two know each other...?

Wiress: Yeah we're cousins!

Foxface: Oh...

Wiress: Remember? I was telling you about my cousin Sabik? Red Paladin?

Foxface: I don't have a good memory on that kind of stuff Wiress you know that...

Wiress: Yet you're a master with finding patterns in booby traps... right...

Foxface: Ugh...!

Keith: Patterns?

Wiress: Oh yeah, that's her main skill set that caught Kolvian's attention.

Keith: But I thought Thace was the leader...?

Foxface: Kolvian took the position a little while ago...

Keith: Oh...

Allura: Keith?! Where are you?!

Keith: Oh I've gotta go, see you guys later?

Wiress: Yep, later cousin!

Keith ran back to the team and the group set up for the babies back at the castle.
