The band was supposed to be packing—they were supposed to be getting rest for the journey into Glasgow tomorrow. Instead, they were partying it up in a London nightclub called Trash.Joy should've stayed behind; she should've taken the opportunity to get much needed sleep. But what Albert mentioned about the guys doing things she wouldn't approve of, it piqued her interest enough to follow.
Booze wasn't the only thing flowing in that nightclub. People were handing off pills left and right, never minding to mentioning what exactly the pills were. Joy stuck out like a sore thumb—the only person there not wasted.
She sat in the corner of the booth, observing everyone else. Nick had broke away from the group, finding himself next to an interesting fellow with an acoustic guitar, surrounded by women. Joy was confused—like anyone could hear the sound of his guitar over the music playing in the club. She rolled her eyes at the sight.
"Hey." Julian spoke into Joy's ear over the music. She turned her head swiftly; slightly startled by his voice. "Are you drinking anything?" Joy shook her head—her eyes on his lips, trying to read his words. "Then what are you doing here?" Jules leaned forward, his ear at Joy's mouth in order to hear her.
"Just wanted to keep an eye on you guys, make sure you stay outta trouble."
Julian pulled back, looking to Joy with furrowed brows. His usually relaxed eyes were scrunched in slits, creating lines around his face. He smiled, "What?"
She shook her head, laughing. "To keep you boys outta trouble!" She repeated.
"That's such a Mom thing to do."
Joy peeled her eyes away from Julian's, looking at his lips again. She was too late; his words had already been spoken and she had missed it. "What?" She asked.
Julian was laughing; his hand coming down hard on her thigh with a slap as he leaned into her lap. He was clearly drunk... or maybe on something.
"Come outside with me!" He yelled over the music; this time Joy had heard.
"Why?" She asked; her eyes wide, watching him crawl out of the booth.
"Just do it!" He extended his hand, grabbing Joy's wrist as he pulled her out of the leather seat.
Julian was dragging Joy out of the club, bumping her slender body into random patrons. She had seen Julian like this a time of two, but never had he been this way with her—it was usually with the guys.
Julian snatched a drink off a table on their way outside, handing it off to Joy with his hand in hers—their fingers intertwined.
They stepped outside, Julian's back slamming against the metal doors; the music fading into the alleyway.
It was crowded outside—people standing in groups, passing joints and drinking beers. Everyone was huddled near the building; a light rain falling from the sky in the night.
"Drink this." Julian chuckled, forcing the drink to her lips. The gesture caused the liquid to spill, creating a wet stain on her long sleeve shirt.
"What is wrong with you?" She snickered, yanking her hand out of Julian's grasp. "I'm not drinking that."
"Well... then maybe you can smoke this." He smirked, pulling a joint out from his shirt pocket.
