'Student?' you thought. 'More like prisoner.'

"It's great to meet you, Lady." the guy smirked, and kissed your hand. You made a disgusted face and snatched your hand away.

Age: 10.

You and the guy started to grow closer and you actually liked him. Everything was pink and you even started to have a crush on him... Until that day came.

"Hey Newbie." your teacher called out. He still called you 'Newbie' when you were anything but new.

"What?"

"You've got a job to do."

"Job?" you raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, your first victim!" he ruffled your hair. He acted like it was your first day of school or something.

"...Victim...?" you whispered with wide eyes.

"Yeah. You have to kill [Boy's name].

"What...!?"

"You heard me. Don't even think about disobeying me."

"Well that's what I'm about to do! There's no way I'm killing him!"

"I thought you hated him."

"Well, I don't!"

His face darkened. "Well, you don't give me another choice..." He pulled out his knife.

"What... What are you... Don't come closer... No..!!"

And a terrified girl's blood piercing scream filled the air.

"Oh, hey Newbie~" [Boy's name] teased you.

"..."

"Okay, I'm kidding. Seriously, why does your teacher call you Newbie?"

"..."

"...[F/N]?"

"... I'm sorry..."

"Sorry? What are you-"

*BANG!*

You were at the park, sitting on a bench, sobbing silently. You really did kill him.

"Hey, are you okay?"

You looked up. It was a girl around your age. She had brown, wavy hair, which reached about the middle of her back. She had soft, brown eyes, which were now looking at you with worry.

"Yeah, yeah. It's nothing." you whispered.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." she nodded, and sat down next to you. "Just cry yourself out. It doesn't bother me." she smiled, then took a bite of her croissant. "You want some?" You shook your head no, and she shrugged.

When she finished with her food, she turned to you. "I'm Sakura, by the way. Sakura Ichigawa." she smiled, reaching out her hand to you. You stared at her confused. "You don't know what's a handshake?" You shook your head no.

'Great. Now she'll make fun of me.'

"It's alright! You just shake my hand. Like this! See?" she shook your hand and gave you a close-eyed smile. "Now what's your name?"

"[F/N]..." you mumbled.

"You don't want to tell me your last name?" You slowly shook your head no. "I see. It's okay... Well, I have to go! I'm going to Hope's Peak Elementary School, and I don't want to be late! See you around!" she smiled, and ran off cheerfully.

'What a strange girl.'

Age: 14

Sakura became your best friend. She was the one who gave you life: you were on the edge of dying. You had scars and burn marks everywhere on your body. She asked about the bandages, but you just said you are clumsy. She didn't know about the tortures.

"[L/N]!" Your leader finally stopped with the newbie.

"...?"

"You've got a job." You took a shaky breath, and waited for the order.

"Sakura Ichigawa. Kill her." 

You stared at your leader wide eyed. You struggled with the awful words that you wanted to say, and just said: "Why...?"

"Didn't I tell you already!? You can't have friends!!! If you have a friend, they or you die! Understood!?" A tear rolled down on your cheek. He slapped you. "Don't show your emotions, you little weak bitch! You mustn't cry!"

You tried to hold back the tears, got your knife from the shelf, and went to the street.

And here you are now. You're now afraid of crying, afraid of your emotions, afraid of making friends... Afraid of fire. That's your life. But will you find happiness on the island?
