Day 0

My name is Dr. Johnathan Doe, and I am the head scientist for General Ironwood. On June 30th of this year, a meteor crash landed near an abandoned campsite. The fire pit was still warm and there were camping supplies around the site, leading us to believe that the campers fled, or were attacked by a Grimm and were killed. At 1200 hours today, that very meteor was extracted from the crash site, and was shipped to -Location Classified-, for analysis.

Day 1

The meteor arrived at 0745 hours. When it arrived it was in a large tub of boiling water. When I asked why, their answer was that it was solid ice when they put it in. The crystal is exactly 101 inches tall, and 18 inches wide.

Day 3

Yesterday's tests were an utter failure. The meteor is made of some kind of black crystal, that seems to be nearly indestructible. I say nearly, because there is scratching on its surface, from before the testing. I'm going to run an X-ray tomorrow if I can't crack this thing open today.

Day 7

The X-ray results are in. The crystal's density is incredible. It has the density of an object 5 times its size, making the X-ray results take longer. The crystal is, surprisingly not solid, but hollow. The open part inside, is distinctly humanoid in shape.
Hypothesis; the crystal is a sarcophagi, of an alien race. Perhaps of someone important, or respected.

Day 14

The crystal's integrity is incredibly difficult to penetrate.
4 buzz saw blades,
1 buzz saw,
12 drill bits of various sizes,
3 drills,
8 chainsaw chains,
2 chain saws,
Have been used to try to brake the crystal open. All have broke. In 2 weeks, I will receive a package from General Ironwood, that he said should be able to brake it open. I hope he is right.

Day 28

The package arrived today, though I did not expect the General to send me an assistant. Her name is Alexis Price. She is 24 years old, and smoking hot. However, I cannot allow my emotions, and desires to compromise the project.
Her semblance is the ability to generate blades of pink energy from her hands (think psylock from X-Men). The test will be recorded at 0900 hours tomorrow.

Day 29

The screen turns on revealing a pale man in his mid-40s, clean shaven, and slicked back brown hair with streaks of grey here and there. He is wearing a white lab coat, gold rimmed glasses, over his bright blue eyes.
The woman behind him looks to be in her mid to late-30s, purple hair, a modest bust, toned muscles, and dark brown skin. Her green eyes contrasting her skin beautifully. She is wearing similar clothing to the man.

JD: Today is the 28th of July. It has been 29 days since the meteor arrived at my lab. The bombshell behind me is Alexis Price."
AP: thank you."
JD: Today, Ms. Price will attempt to cut open the crystal, using her semblance."

The video cuts to JD and AP standing over the crystal. A large blade of pink energy, appears in her hand and she slowly lowers the Blade onto the crystal's surface. When it touches the crystal, sparks start to fly wildly, as it cuts into it. When the blade gets 3 inches in, she frowns and Reyes to move the blade away, but seems to be struggling.
JD: what's wrong?"
AP: I can't pull away."
JD: grabs her arms and begins to pull as well. AP starts to look weak.
AP: Dr. Doe, the crystal is draining my aura."
The two start to pull more frantically.
The crystal slowly starts to change color from black to a this color. V

The humanoid shape inside now clearly visible. The cut made, is at waist level. They succeed in releasing AP. They see that lines can be seen on the creature's waist. The lines suddenly glowed white with mint green outlines, And the rock exploded. A large piece impaled Alexis, and JD is thrown to the side. The creature sits up, and looks around.

It looks at JD and gets off the table. It walks over to him, and crouches down next to him. It made several sounds before finally,
???: Test, test?"
This surprised the man.
???: bingo. So, what planet am I on."
JD: R-remnant. Your on Remnant."
???: thank you."
The creature grabs the man's face and he screams in agony, as his face is burned off. The creature looks at his hand in amazement.
???: never heard of a blue pyronite."
It shrugs and looks over at the woman.
???: she's beautiful. Too bad she's dead."
The creature then walks up to the door and places it's hand on the door. It quickly starts to glow red, them orange, them yellow, before melting, revealing sunlight. As it walks out,
???: *sigh* it feels good to be out of that prison."
The roar of flames could be heard, but quickly gets quieter. The video cuts out as Ozpin, headmaster of Beacon Academy, shuts off the TV. He turns to the 4 girls in front of his desk.

Ozpin: you 4 are to bring that thing to me."
Weiss: how are we supposed to do that?"
Ozpin: peacefully, preferably. I want it to join my school. I'll send you the information on its location."
Ozpin waves them away and takes a sip of his coffee. The 4 girls walk away towards the elevator.
Ozpin: oh and girls," they turn. "Good luck."
