Nelson decided to go home with his parents that very evening so they could spend some actual time together. Everyone was laying back on their families blue couch that had been there since both Ethan and Nelson were babies. Ethan was the main focus though, until Emerald did something unspeakable.
"What's that wet stuff on my arm," Nelson asked. His family each bit their lips trying to hold in the laughter. "Well," he said as he looked down.
"Emerald, he kind of pooped," Mom said with a smile. Nelson's eyes went wide as he stared at the smirking baby. "You might want to give him a bath," she instructed. His eyes opened even wider when he heard her.
"Give him a bath, how do I do that, I barely know how to change a diaper," he began to stress. His parents laughed at all his stressing but in the end decided to say something.
"It's not that complicated," Mom told him. Nelson looked over at her with breathing complications.
"Yeah I promise it's not difficult at all, set the water to a warm temperature," Dad started.
"I'm supposed to just leave him in there alone, what if he falls over, something could happen to him," he asked shocked. Their dad laughed at him.
"I wasn't finished Nelson, he won't be in there alone because you have to get in with him so nothing like that does happen." Dad told him. His mouth went wide as he thought about it, bathing with his son.
"You guys did that with me," he asked. His parents each nodded before Mom spoke up.
"With you, Ethan, and even Lauren," the boys each gave her a shocked look before just nodding and sitting back.
"L-Lauren, she d-didn't fight you on t-that," Ethan asked surprised. His parents smiled at him before nodding their heads.
"It was actually one of her favorite things to do, she was always calmer when taking them, always was laughing about them too and splashing around," Dad said with a smile. "I miss her," he said.
"Dad, she's only at college," Nelson said. He stayed looking down. "Anyways, what if he poops on me again, I don't want sh-" he was cut off by the glares of his parents. Emerald smiled at him. "He's already conspiring," Ethan laughed at him before sitting up more.
"Good thing y-you'll already be in the b-bath," he said with a smile. Nelson glared at him before sticking out his to tongue. "I don't think he's planning on doing that, y-you're s-safe." Nelson smiled before standing up from the couch. "G-good luck," Ethan said before Nelson walked to the bathroom.
Emerald stared up to his father as he started the water. "You know Emerald, this is a bath and I'm supposed to get in with you," he stayed staring with his light green eyes. "This won't be too bad right," Nelson said as he began to take off the baby's clothes carefully. "I know you might not be comfortable with this but neither am I, when you're older I won't bring it up," Nelson said as he finished.
He peeled his shirt off with his left hand and held Emerald tightly with the other then the rest of his clothes before climbing into the bath. "Ahh," Emerald yelled as he began to splash in the water. Nelson laughed as he splashed the water back.
"You're really cute, you know that," he said as he kissed the top of the boy's head. Emerald giggled as he continued to splash the water. As he was having fun Nelson began to clean him.
Nelson's hand was moving slowly in the boy's hair before he decided to twist in his arms and try crawling up his body. His small hands now trying to fist on Nelson's skin. "Ahh," he said again but this time with his mouth opened and his arms raised.
"What's up Emerald, you all done," the boy smiled with his arms still raised.
"Ahh, Ahh," he said. Nelson smiled before bringing him up more into his arms with a tight hug.
