Her leaden lungs suppressed any efforts she made to inhale. Her chest heaved rapidly with heavy panting as she holds onto her husband's hand tight.
The plushie he gave her was getting crushed in her other palm as she screamed her lungs out, unable to bear the pain.

Sumi had to let go of Hoseok's hand as the nurses moved her to the operating room.

They ended up in a hospital, again. But this time to welcome the happiness in their lives.

As Sumi was giving birth, Hoseok stood outside the room, pressure building inside his chest as he tugs on his hair. The sweat beads on his eyebrows slide down and he chews on his lip nervously.

Sumi got pregnant again after one year of her miscarriage. Even though they tried hard every month, she couldn't conceive as her body couldn't support her. Working and taking care of his wife was the only job Hoseok had for a complete year and at last, their prayers were heard.
When Hoseok came home tired, Sumi was waiting at the doorstep with a wide smile on and with Mickey by her side. The happiness she saw in his eyes that night, she would do anything to see that again.

Sumi screams loudly and reaches her hand out to the glass door beside, staring at Hoseok.

"Ple..please, I--I need him" she pants heavily as she asks the doctor to let her husband in.

Hoseok barges in and he brushes her hair while her fingers left red marks on his fair skin.

The pain in her lower abdomen is tearing her apart and she can feel her eyes closing as the energy drains from her body, but her eyes still don't leave him. Her ragged breathing increases and she chokes on her sobs, hoping this would end soon.

Seeing her wife in this situation broke Hoseok's heart, he can't see Sumi struggling. He would go through the pain for her if he could, but he can't do that so he's trying his best to encourage and support her.

He pats her face gently and stares into her eyes as the doctor asks her to push harder.

"Sumi, wake up baby"

Her teeth clench as she shuts her eyes tight, releasing the baby but the pain only kept increasing for another five minutes. She fought through it together with her husband, and the second baby was out in what it seemed like ages.

Her head collapses on the pillow, panting heavily while her body was soaked in sweat.

The cries of the twin babies echo the room and a wide smile forms on Hoseok's face as he takes them in his arms.

Sumi's eyes soften when her husband smiles at her. All of this pain, this struggle, it was worth it. She just wants to give him the love he's been giving her ever since they met.
Sumi was always on the receiving end and finally, she feels at peace as she had done something for him.

He sat beside her and kissed her forehead. His heart was jumping in joy now that his family is complete. His wish was achieved.

Tears well in his eyes, he places the boy in her arms with the girl is still in his, their heads against each other, he whispers.

"Thank you so much, baby.."

"Ugh...How do I get my get my husband around me again? After having children, I feel like he doesn't love me that much anymore" a middle-aged woman who is desperate for her husband's attention, asks Sumi for some advice but she blushes and turns to look at Hoseok who is talking to his friends.

It's been almost four years since Sumi and Hoseok had been married but they find a new reason every day to love each other more.

It would be a lie to say that they only had good and happy days. They overcame many struggles while taking care of their kids and this helped Sumi to change as well.
She learned to talk in front of people, she learned to fight with her husband for silly things and most importantly,
she learned to love people.

The party Hoseok and his family were in is thrown by Jimin as he wanted to introduce his fiancee to his friends.

Hoseok sees Sumi along with some other women who are playing with his kids. He sighs heavily with a hint of sadness in his eyes as he stares at his wife.

"What's wrong?" Jimin asks with a waft of alcohol on his breath.

"It's Sumi..." he pauses.

"It's been so long since I spent some time alone with her. I just, miss her. So much--"

Jimin runs a hand through his hair with as a slight smirk spread across his lips.

"I'll take care of the kids, you have fun tonight" Jimin winks at Hoseok and he blushes at his words. Just the thought of her makes him feel fuzzy and his heart pounds rapidly.

"Thanks, man" he pats Jimin's shoulder and kisses his kids before leaving.

Confused about what her husband is planning, Sumi bites her lip and walks out of the place while holding his hand.

Hoseok follows her around in the home until she gets on the bed. They lay beside each other and her face flushes as he gently grabbed her waist, pulling her closer to him.
There's no space in between them, neither between their bodies or hearts.

Sumi can feel his heartbeat slowly accelerating and she looks up at him from his chest, flashing him a smile.

She loves every second of this long and affectionate embrace. Their legs were wrapped around each other like a pretzel as they cuddle.

"Hobi..." Sumi calls and he hums in response, brushing her head.

"Aren't you tired of me?" she pouts against his chest and he softly chuckles.

He lifts her face by the chin and caresses the curve of her cheekbone. Intertwining her fingers with his, Hoseok leans into her and his lips captured hers in a passionate kiss.

Getting lost in the feel of his lips for what seemed like the millionth time, Sumi moans softly against his lips and they disconnect, their eyes still stuck onto each other.

"I can never get enough of you baby"

She squeals softly and snuggles into his chest again making him giggle.

Sumi loves how her husband has control over her feelings and Hoseok loves how his wife makes him feel. They're on the same path.

She smiles at him and turns around, allowing Hoseok to spoon her just like every night. With his hand on her chest, legs around hers, he kisses the nape of her neck and cuddles her until she falls asleep.

Once, they were two alone souls with no love in their lives, but now, they are each other's love.

Life isn't always sunshine and butterflies. Sometimes you got to learn to smile through the pain.
