Okay! So before you start reading this book, there are certain facts or notes that may help for you to further understand my spin in this Omegaverse fic! I might add more notes in the future depending on how this story goes.

Read this before anything else!

1. What exactly is the Omegaverse?

• The omegaverse is an alternate reality or alternate universe wherein people are categorized into three:

Alphas have the highest rank there is, they are considered as the most powerful and most dominant people. Compared to betas and omegas, alphas are definitely more superior.

Betas are said to be the rank that balances the social hierarchy of this universe. They are treated as normal people, and they live their normal lives. Although there are times when alphas step on them, at least they aren't getting the same treatment as the omegas.

Omegas are considered as trash in this reality. The lowest of the low. The greatest downgrade to ever exist. Some say that they are only useful for most of them are female, meaning most of them can carry newborn pups. Otherwise, they are better off thrown away.

• It is an alternate universe wherein people that are within these said categories can transform into wolves when they are of the right age, which is normally when you reach 13 or 14 years old.

• Once they turn 18, teenagers can possibly have their first heat. A heat is the phenomenon wherein a person's sexual needs take over them, making them horny as fuck. A normal person experiences a heat once in two months, wherein omegas have it once a month.

• Although there are some omegaverse fics where pure humans are a thing, this particular fanfic does not have any pure humans whatsoever. They may have their human forms, but all of the people in my fic can basically turn into wolf some time in their lives, purely for the fact that they need these forms in order to mate.

• Yes. They mate as wolves. Though there is a possibility to mate as humans, they prefer to mate in their animal forms in order to successfuly produce offspring. Despite that, please note that this fanfiction does not involve male pregnancy. I chose to follow the law of nature, meaning only females can get preggers.

2. How do they determine their packs?

• Packs are the groups or the families where alphas, betas, and omegas belong to. There is no particular pack for each rank, meaning one pack can be as diverse as possible. These packs are often lead by head alphas, simply because alphas said so, and trust me, in this universe, no one would dare step up to an alpha.

• All the families and packs need to be named. Some names determine their strength and standing in their hierarchy. And so I chose to name them by stones and gems.

For example is Taehyung's Pack which is the Sapphire Pack: one of the most famous and respected packs in the world. Another is Yoongi's Pack which belongs to the Quartz Pack: a pack following Taehyung's in terms of reputation. There's also the Emerald, Ruby, Opal and Amethyst Packs to name a few. The Diamond Pack is the greatest of the great, the elite of elites, it is the most feared group to ever exist and no pack ever tries to mess with them. If you were an omega and you belonged to the Diamond Pack, no one would dare step over you, for you carry the name of royalty.

• Some pups are left alone as orphans, and so they have no packs to belong to. Unless you are an alpha, being an orphan practically means being bullied and discriminated for the rest of your life.

• Not every alpha can have a chance to lead their packs, they first need to find a suitable mate in order to rule. They may be a fellow alpha, beta, or omega, but they have to belong to a respectable pack, it depends on what kind of pack the alpha belongs in.

3. Description of ranks.

• Alphas have a strong rose scent and their eyes turn scarlet red when their animal instinct takes over them. Most of them are males.

• Betas don't have any particular smells whatsoever. Their eyes don't even change colors. As I've said, they are treated normally, they can be considered as human if you discard the fact that they can turn into a wolf in a second.

• Omegas carry a sweet vanilla scent that attracts tons of alphas. Their eyes turn blue when instinct kicks in. Almost all omegas are women, it is a very rare case to see a male omega, and a very sad one at that. Male omegas don't have the ability to carry offspring so they are considered useless to the community.
