Falling For You

I woke at mid day. Grant has already been up so he was in the bathroom brushing his teeth.
"Already cleaned up in the lounge room and breakfast is on the bench," said Grant as I sat up.
"You've been busy," I said yawning and stretching my arms out. I got out of bed and noticed that my hips were sore but I still walked out into the kitchen and saw a plate of pancakes toped with whipped cream and blueberries. I grabbed a fork and went back into the bedroom.
"I'd never think of you as a chef type," I said as I sat next to him on the bed.
"I have many hidden talents," he said stealing a blueberry.

"Do you wanna go for a run," I Asked Grant our of the blue.
"Sure, I was planning to do some sort of exercise anyway," he said. We got changed into an appropriate outfit. Grant grabbed the keys on the way out of his apartment and locked the door while I was doing stretches in the stair well. I set up a playlist and we were on our way. We headed down a busy Main Street, the noise of cars and people too loud to have a conversation. We took a corner that lead us to a quiet park with a few people enjoying their Saturday morning in the distance.
"I've been thinking lately," said Grant trying to start a conversation.
"Yeah," I replied.
"And I was wondering if you were planning to take this relationship any further?" He asked.
"Ummm... well what we have now is working well and I think if there is an opportunity then we should take it and move one step further," I said only having a couple of seconds to come up with an answer.
"Cool, Thanks what I was thinking," he said. The rest of the run we didn't really speak. We got back to Grant's apartment and Grant plonked down on the couch.
"I do want to take one step further, I think you should meet my parents," I said.
"I was wondering when you would ask," he said. I wasn't really expecting that.
"I'm sure they'll love you," I said kissing him on the forehead and going back up to the kitchen.
