"Help!" I screech. "Please! He-"
He punches my throat, interrupting me. I instantly begin gasping painfully and stretching my neck out in agony. Holy hell, that hurts like a son of a biscuit.
"Shut up!" He growls. "No one can help you. Noah has tied your dumbass friend up and is on his way with doing the same to your sister." He says "sister" likes it's the most nasty thing he's ever had to say.
My eyes widen. "Noah?!" I yell, but it's incredibly painful and I barely make a sound. He smirks and lowers his head closer to my face.
"Yes, Noah!" He says almost cheerfully. "How do you think he hasn't wound up in prison? There's no way the cops can get him with my help on his side."
"Why is he helping you?!" I say, throat scratching and my eyes burning. My cheeks are drenched in tears. I squirm underneath him, breathing picking up very quickly all of a sudden.
"Because," He says nonchalantly. "Lily is his biological daughter. It's a win-win."
My heart stops. "What?"
His evil smirk grows. "Oh, Aiden didn't tell you? Lily is his half sister. His real father abandoned him and his mother, taking the girl with him. He left her here in hopes that her real father would find her. And look! Noah has found her! It's a happy ending for us all. We all get our families back together!"
I shove at his chest, all of this news making my head spin. I feel dizzy and sick. I still fight him. "N-No! I'm not going with you!"
His dark shade over his silver eyes returns. "Yes, you are. And if you fight me, there will be no point in it. You're coming home."
"I am home!" I shout, making my throat hurt again. He gets off of me, pulling me up by my arm. He begins dragging me away toward the tree line, but I kick and fight through blurry eyes as I stare at the house helplessly. I can't go back. I don't want to go back. "Stop!"
Suddenly the door to the house opens, and slowly a hesitant little girl is revealed in a white nightgown. Her eyes are wide as she hides behind the door, expression terrified.
Lily.
I take a large breath, knowing this was going to hurt my throat. And then I scream. I scream as loud and as long as possible.
She jumps in surprise but steps onto the porch as my father stops us. He flips me onto the ground again, my back hitting the grass with a loud thud. The wind is knocked out of me.
"You are a bitch!" He shouts into my face. "I was going to wait, you know?! I really was!" And then, to my horror, he sits up, beginning to unbuckle his jeans. My eyes are wide as I gasp for air and twist a bit, trying to get away.
"No!" I try to scream, but it comes out as a strained whisper. I can't speak.
He pulls his jeans down and takes the knife, trying to rip my clothes off. I ball up my hand and punch him square in the jaw. His head knocks back, but he slowly look at me again, eyes alight in fury. Suddenly the knife rips off my jeans too, and he throws them to the side. I'm left in my underwear, trembling in fear.
"Stop!" I try to shout again, but it's hopeless. My voice is shot. Tears pour down my face as he strips himself and tries to pull down my bottoms. I turn my head in the grass to find Lily standing there still, but she's not. And the door is closed.
Good. I don't want her to see this. She needs to go inside and go back to sleep. She'll at least be safe in her room.
I turn my head back to the actions happening to me, trying with all my might to scream. Only noise isn't permitted access, it seems. I've gone mute. I really don't have a voice I suppose. I can't ever call out for help. And I'm metaphorically and physically speaking. I'm alone. No one will help me.
"I've missed you so much, princess," He says, ready to press into me. "I missed thi- ahh!!!"
He arches his head upward in a cry of pain, screaming bloody murder. My eyes widen and I peer around him to see Lily Foster standing behind him, shaking and staring at the man writhe in pain. Her expression is nothing short of terrified. Her hands tremble worse than anything as she holds them close to her small mouth. Her green eyes shine in fear.
What really catches my eye is the knife stuck into his back, just right below the neck. And using this moment of weakness, I shove him off of me, standing up. He curls up and shouts in pain as I scoop Lily into my arms and run into the trees toward the truck. She allows me to carry her.
I hurry and place her into the passenger seat before running to the driver's side. She looks at me the entire time, fear evident. I turn on the ignition and barrel through the trees after leaning over to buckle her up.
I drive back to the group house, ignoring my father's body that is huffing calmly in the grass. He's completely still, blood leaking into the green spades of the earth, turning it into a disgusting brown color.
I stare up at the house when I slam on the brake, knowing my sister and Nico are inside. I then turn to Lily, who is curled herself into a small ball, eyes looking ahead at nothing in particular in a state of shock.
I slide the bracelet off of my wrist, lay it on her seat, and open the door. She looks at it in the same shock before looking at me through the opened truck door.
"I'll be right back," I promise her. "Stay here and stay safe. Come inside only if he gets up." I point to my father, who already looks halfway dead. She nods slowly.
I slam the door shut again. "We're going to get you home."
