My head was pounding with each step he took. I was trying to hold in each moan that threatened to come out of my mouth. The rough terrain of the mountainside was only making my pain worse. It also wasn't helping that I could tell the man was enjoying my pain. Every step his smirk grew wider, seeing my grimace.
The dense trees were slowly spreading more apart the further we went into the forest. I could tell we were close to whatever location we were heading too. The noise of voices were getting louder, along with soft growls of what I assumed was other wolves. I must have ran into the territory again while trying to escape, because the walk was only a short few minutes.
The trees finally separated, entering a vast clearing. There were many people scattered around. People in what I assumed was their human form and others in wolf form. The wolves were running around almost as if they were all playing tag. While men and women were dispersed around talking to one another or just enjoying the outside. Each person looked unbelievably fit, and each one were beyond perfection. There was various different size houses scattered around as well, although they were nothing in comparison to the mansion in the center of the clearing. The house was three stories tall with various windows on each level. It looked similar the a hotel look, although with a victorian style to it. On the third floor of the house was a large window in the center, taking up what equaled to three windows below. The house was gorgeous to say the least, but I didn't think I would be going to enjoy the beautiful structure anytime soon.
The man holding me was going to straight to the mansion, each stride he took bringing me closer and closer. Dread filled me, from the way this man described the Alpha, he didn't sound friendly.
Each person we passed, I could hear whispers on every side. I could only imagine what they were seeing with my appearance. A broken girl, with tattered clothes, bloody hands, and covered in dirt. I could feel the judging looks coming from each one, making me want to shrink back from their gazes.
Reaching the steps of the mansion, the door burst open. A man walked out fuming, heading down the stairs right towards us. He had tan skin with medium length blonde hair that reached to his shoulders. This man was leaner then the one holding me, but still had bulging muscles making him no less as intimidating. He had a short beard that I could see was well maintained, with a dark set of green eyes. No doubt he was attractive man, I am sure he had many girls groveling at his feet.
"Gamma Marcus," he seethed. "What do you think you are doing?" He reached us standing with his arms crossed, glaring at who I now knew the name of.
"I am just bringing her," he lifted me up slighting to gesture to me, making me wince in pain, "to the Alpha, Beta Charles."
Beta Charles head moved to look at me in Gamma Marcus's arms. He scoffed, his eyes shooting back to Gamma Marcus. "Gamma, you can't just bring humans onto the territory without a reason. You put us at risk going into that town, to just take some human."
Gamma Marcus chuckled, "I didn't just take a human for no reason. She trespassed into our territory on her little hiking adventure. Isn't that right, Princess?" My eyes widen at the attention now going to me. Beta Charles eyes slid back to me, waiting for an answer.
"I-I didn't k-know," I cringed at my shuttering voice.
Gamma Marcus body shook while he laughed. "Aw don't be scared," he responded. "The only reason I took her is because she saw one of our border patrol. She knows what we are Beta Charles. I couldn't have some girl snooping around the territory, I can tell this one was a curious one."
I tried struggling out of Gamma Marcus's arms. "P-please just let me go, I promise I won't go hiking along that trail again or a-any other for that matter."
Beta Charles hadn't left my eyes since Gamma Marcus was talking. I could see the wheels turning in his head. There was a look of almost pity in his dark green eyes. "Sorry, rules our rules. I can't have humans seeing us in our wolf form, Alpha's orders."
My eyes widened. "B-but other the people in the town know there are w-wolves. S-shouldn't they be brought into this so called Alpha too?" I knew I should shut my mouth, but I at least wanted to try to talk my way out of it if possible. There was no way I could run, with my injuries, I wouldn't make it five feet. I also didn't see Gamma Marcus letting me go anytime soon.
Beta Charles gave me a sad smile. "Yes, but the towns people never go hiking on those trails. They know to stay away, we haven't took a human in about ten years. I'm sorry, I don't like to involve our kind with yours, but I have no other choice."
Gamma Marcus snickered again. "No talking your way out of this one, Princess. We have to follow orders, even if some don't want too."
Tears started to welled up in my eyes. There was no way out. This Alpha didn't sound like the type to let me go. I could only imagine what may happened to me. Maybe I would be locked in a prison the rest of my life? Tortured? Possibly dead? I would never be able to teach those kids. Something I've always wanted to do growing up. What about my parents? I probably wouldn't be able to see them again. What would they do to learn their only child is missing? I only been in Heus for a few days, and my life was coming to an end.
Beta Charles sighed. "Alpha Julian, is in his office. Bring her to him, he will have a better idea of how to handle this situation." He moved to the side, so Gamma Marcus could walk to the front door.
I looked at Beta Charles, giving him one last pleading look before we entered the house. He turned his head away, his jaw ticking. He was the only person to show some sympathy, my only chance. It didn't look like he was going to get me out of this situation anytime soon. I was on my own.
Gamma Marcus, started walking up the steps to the front door. My body was bouncing against his hard chest every step. Making me wince, at the injuries along my body. My hands were clenched onto his shirt, my nails digging into the fabric in fear.
"Just don't talk when you see the Alpha, Princess. Your punishment may not be as bad then. This is the only advice I will give you to save some of your skin." My tears will still flowing freely down my face. I shivered at his statement.
Entering the house, I looked around. We entered into the foyer, to staircases where in the the center leading up to the second floor. The floor was a beautiful white marble, with a center round table in the middle. On top was a beautiful vase of flowers, all different types. A chandelier hung over the foyer, encrusted with diamonds. It was the most beautiful house I had ever seen.
We continued past the foyer, going to a hallway left of the foyer. I could feel Gamma Marcus's hot breath fanning onto my face. I could see rooms lining along the hallway, of what I assumed was offices. Why did they need so many rooms? At the end of the hallway was a double door, that we were heading straight for.
My breath hitched, with my heart pounding faster each time we got closer to the door. The tears had stopped, and now were replaced by my fear instead of sadness. We stopped in front of the door, I felt like I stopped breathing all together. Gamma Marcus raised his hand to knock.
