Where My Loyalties Lie//Lab Rats Fan Fiction

Tasha's POV

I don't know much about technology, especially bionics, but I do know when someone's hiding something. And the days following getting frozen, I could tell that Marcus was hiding something.
I had never been big on the idea of Donald rebuilding Marcus, and we didn't get along well. He thought I was nosy, while I didn't know what to think of him. Except sarcastic. Very sarcastic.
Anyway, I was determined to find out was Marcus was hiding. Maybe he's right. Maybe I AM nosy.
I suck up to his room, complete with one of those weird capsule things that Donald had made especially for him. Pressing my ear against the closed door, I heard him talking to someone.
"Where are you? Far away? Good. Stay there until I tell you it's safe. Okay, okay. Bye," Marcus said. Obviously, he was talking on the phone. But to who?
Swinging the door open, I asked, "Who was that?"
Terrified was an emotion I had never seen before in Marcus's eyes. He was the tough, smart alec, and oh so sarcastic one.
"Pizza guy?" he tried, even though he knew it was hopeless.
"Mmm hmm. I know better than that, mister. Would you like to tell me or tell everyone in a family meeting?"
Gulping, Marcus held on tightly to something in his hand.
What was it?
"I choose family meeting!" Eddy said popping up on the wall.
Oh, I'm SO going to pull his plug one day, and oh, I'll savor it.
Ahem.
"Do you know something, Eddy?" I asked.
"Yeah! That you need to get a face lift!"
If I hadn't caught Marcus red handed, I would've - I don't know. But it would be something bad for him!
"Fine. Family meeting," I said, looking at Marcus's still terrified eyes.

Everyone looked expectantly at me, as they all sat on the couch.
Donald's eyes rang of curiosity, and a hint of fear.
Adam's eyes rang of never ending joy, as always.
Bree's eyes rang of frustration, because she had to put her phone down.
Chase's eyes rang of annoyance, because he'd been ripped away from his math homework.
Leo's eyes rang of hope, probably for me pulling him out of school or going on a mission. Either one isn't going to happen.
Eddy's computer eyes rang of mischief, for reasons I don't know. Except that it has to do with Marcus.
Marcus's eyes still rang of terror. Unrelenting terror.

"Eddy, what do you know?" I asked in front of the others.
"Well, Marcus specifically said I couldn't tell you, but he never said I couldn't show you!" Eddy, replied happily.
The video he showed was so much different then I'd imagined.
Marcus had helped Donald's evil brother escape?
After the video ended, everyone stared at Marcus in shock.
"Marcus, how could you?! We actually trusted you, and then you help Douglas?!" Donald exploded.
"He's my dad what do you expect?" Marcus shot back.
"Okay, calm down, everyone!" I ushered.
But they didn't listen.
In the argument, there were two sides: Marcus against the others. And Marcus was fighting a losing battle.
It got worse when Donald threatened to throw Marcus out. My cries of letting him stay fell to deaf ears.
What? Mom instincts.
That is, until Leo piped up.
"Guys, Mom's right! Marcus not be the greatest guy-"
"Hey!"
"but he doesn't deserve to be thrown out! I mean, if I got thrown out the first time I did something you guys didn't like, I'd be outta here a while ago! Punishment: sure. Throw him out: no way!"
Silence followed Leo's speech.
"He's right," Donald sighed.
Marcus seemed to not hear what Donald said. He just stared, confused, at Leo.
"But I'm keeping a tighter leash on you! No school, and stay in lab most of the time. Got it?" Donald asked.
Snapping out of it, Marcus replied, "Yeah, sure."

I'm not sure how well I wrote Tasha. What do you guys think?
Anyway, quote time!
