Steps :

1: Count the number of letters that are present in a word.

EXAMPLE :

G-Y-U-S- It has 4 letters

2. Square root the number of letters

√4 = 2. Now we have 2, we will put 2 letters per row ( 2 rows).

Note: The square root will tell us how many letters will be put per rows,and also it tells us how many rows we will need.

G-Y|U-S

That will be written like this..

G Y
U S

And we will read that downward,from the top left corner.After you read the first row the next row will be thr next...

And the hidden code was....

G-U-Y-S = Guys
