she sat back and stared at a lost point in the floor's carpet. her whole body trembled as she tried to find some sense into the information she was receiving.
"it was an accident." he added a few seconds later.
"how?" she asked.
kihyun sighed. "he didn't mean it. he was angry and lost control of the wheel, he didn't realize she was going out of the house."
yuna turned to look at him. "what happened then?" he closed his eyes. it was obvious he didn't want to keep talking about it but yuna wouldn't let him go that easy.
"tell me." she demanded.
"he was desperate and ran away... i shout at him, i told him i was going to report him to the police but i couldn't. i knew he hadn't done it on purpose." he shrugged.
yuna's mind worked in all directions as she tried to place all of these facts in a timeline. she just wanted to know if they both knew when this happened. if they were friends or were maybe dating. she still couldn't believe how he could keep this away from her.
so then she asked the million dollar question. "when did this happen?"
and judging by kihyun's expression, she knew she wouldn't like his answer. "around 4 months ago." he finally said with motionless eyes.
immediately she felt a strong pain on her chest as her face grimaced in pain. she fall back onto the floor and soon felt kihyun's body approaching her. "yuna-ssi! gwenchana?" he asked desperately as he grabbed her face between his palms.
"oh god..." he exclaimed looking for a phone but yuna grabbed his hand to stop him. she was having a hard time breathing and felt as if the oxygen was leaving her body slowly.
"i-in... m-my... bag." she managed to say, pointing at her room. kihyun nodded and quickly ran towards her room, returnin only a few seconds later with her bag. he immediately tried to look for her phone but she stopped him again.
"m-my... in-haler." kihyun stopped for a second as he just then realized she was having an asthma attack.
the shock of the news have triggered an asthma attack in her and she almost stopped breathing for a second, if it wasn't for kihyun, who quickly ran to get her inhaler from her purse.
once she felt better, as she could finally breathe again. kihyun carried her to the couch on the living room and brought her a glass of water. "are you okay? i can drive you to the hospital if you want me to-
"i am fine." she simply said, with a bit distant tone. she drank her water as she tried to avoid his eyes.
"i didn't know you were asthmatic."
"yeah well, i didn't know you were a liar, so i think we're even." she said coldly. kihyun rolled his eyes.
"i am not a liar-
"then how come i am learning all this right now? now? we've been here for what? a week? and you're telling me this just now?"
"that's not being a liar."
"well you weren't completely honest so that sounds like a liar to me."
"i wasn't lying! i was just... trying to avoid telling you the truth."
"liar." she said narrowing his eyes. kihyun sighed and looked away. "listen... i was going to tell you everything, eventually... it's just- he ran a hand through his hair - it's fucking hard to talk about this. you're the first person who's hearing about this, ever."
