BTS To The Edge of The Sky: Plots & Twists of the Past

Bothered

     It opened to reveal Nine who looked like he wasn't planning on sleeping at all yet. Wonder why, is it because it's natural since he's the leader and he's taking care of so many things or he just couldn't sleep?

     "Hey hyung." He still calls me that. Well I am older than him but he's more respectable with the fact that he's our leader. "Hey. Can we talk?" His eyebrows furrowed for a slight second but I'm pretty sure since he's very much aware that I'm the Oracle, whatever I had to tell him was important.

"Come on. Let's talk in the lounge."

     And with just that, he got out of his room and walked with me to the lounge. Seriously, this place never got quiet and everything stays open, literally, forever.

     Once we got a seat in the lounge, I tried to calmly start a conversation with Nine before telling him about what I found. But he beat me to it!

     "So, how come you're still awake?" he asked me as the bartender came and gave us our drinks we ordered a little earlier. "Before I tell you that, why are you still awake? Is it natural now since you're obviously our leader?? I'm only awake because of my job as the Oracle."

     "You could say that, hyung." He said a taking a sip of his drink then placing it on the table in front of us. "I was waiting for Four hyung to come back. He's on a mission right now." I nodded and took my sip. "Heh... Worried he comes back dead? Although that'll never happen." I joked, which got Nine to give out a smile and a small laugh.

     "Yeah. He's a  great operative. Very skilled. But as the leader, I still worry of course... For my team, that is."

     "Don't worry too much though. It's not good for your health." I say taking another sip.

     "I know. But we have a girl in the team now. Yes, Seven is VERY skilled and I know she can defend herself. But she is still a girl. And I take it Zero is starting to like her much more." Well he was definitely right about that. And Zero liking Seven? I would personally agree on that. They make a perfect team!

     "Yeah you're right. But you missed this... She's not the first girl on our team." I simply say and looked around the lounge, as if it was my first time here, though it wasn't.

     "Right...... Hyung, what did you want to talk to me about?" Nine finally asked. I honestly didn't know how to explain it to him. Especially with the lack of information I have.

     I took a deep breath, "Nine, for these past 2 weeks, those files we took have been bothering me. I mean, I found out where KAIROS is but I also found this info about a poisonous liquid that High Priestess has been trying to create." I tried to summarize my thoughts to him. He was listening intensely, like usual.

"A poisonous liquid?"

     "Yeah... Something they're planning on calling 'Augsoid'."

     "Do you know anything else about it?" Nine had shifted in his seat, probably feeling uneasy with the new information I'm giving.

     "I'm afraid no. That was all there was in the files. I tried searching it up but of course, there's nothing about it that I can find. I couldn't find anything which was the reason I've been so bothered lately."

     My head was starting to ache again. It's bothering me so much when I couldn't do my job as an analyst to find out about this or that!

     Nine and I stayed silent for a while. He had faced away from me and had both his elbows resting on the counter; his right hand grasping his drink as he stared at it intensely.

     "You've told no one else, I'm sure." Oh yeah you're right about that.

     "Ahuh... I knew I had to tell you first. Like always." I finished my drink in one go but felt my head daze. Bad idea...

     "Thanks for telling me. We'll figure that out soon. For now..." Nine had faced back to me. His expression showing pure seriousness.

"Where are they?"

     He seemed... angered. He badly wanted to know where KAIROS had been hiding this whole time. And so did I.

     "...Their agency had been split up for the time being. But High Priestess stayed with Temperance and Magician and quite a lot of security. They're outside Olympia. Somewhere called 'Naldeland'. I haven't figured out where Icarus and Artemis are. They're probably off somewhere doing dirty work for Pri. I'll find out."

     Nine's face lit up. "I know you will." I nodded. It was my job to know anyway.

     "It that all?" Nine asked me. I nodded slowly, rethinking if I missed any information. Guess I didn't.

     "Well then great job, Three hyung. You should go and take some rest. I still have to wait for Four's check in. Then we'll have a meeting tomorrow. I think I know where that 'Naldeland' is." He told me and faced back on the counter. The bartender came and took my empty glass away. "You get some rest too Nine." I say tapping his shoulder. He smiles as a response before I finally walked out the lounge and back to my room.

     Finally got that off my chest! But I still feel bothered. As if that Augsoid was really harmful... I hope not. Because I know nothing of it. I'm thinking Nine would tell the high counselor and Dr. Park. If not, I'll do it myself.

     As I entered my room once again, I sat back down to where I sat earlier. My laptop was still on?? I guess I forgot to log it off.

     I guess I can rest for now. I'll find out soon enough what that Augsoid is.
