It's been a few days since Y/N stayed. With all the arising confusion of her being alive aside, I hear from some of the crew that she doesn't very much want to remain here.

And as I also had my tasks to complete about the preparation of the ship, I couldn't get an actual chance to speak with her. So instead, I intend to get some words out from Shinsuke.

We hadn't really spoken since that day when Y/N woke. And I can tell that he's on quite a distress this recently, which I'm sure, is concerning about her.

The weather is as slow as always with strong, cool wind flowing across the atmosphere. There's no one around this hour, but the place already nearly organized. I glance about the ship to see if there's anything that needs to be done, but approvingly find my crew are doing their job well.

I think I might even tremble if stay too long out here on the deck. But it doesn't seem to be that way for everyone I suppose.

"So have you decided what to do?" I ask when approaching the forecastle. Shinsuke stands at the very edge, staring out to the gray, dull sky.

"We'll head to Yamanashi," he says after a moment without glancing back.

I stop behind him. "Yamanashi? What purpose do we have there?" This is rather odd. We never had any required affairs with that place.

     "The crows will show up."

"How are you so sure?" I ask. "Has Y/N tell you something?"

There's a pause to his response before he speaks. "She did."

I study his back as he crosses his hand. I think the tension from his shoulders has diminished.

"I'm glad things sorted out between her," I say, finding his gaze. "But this has something more to do with her, yes?" My mouth curls, a hint of a smile exposing. "Glad to know you made up," I amusedly add when he doesn't talk.

"There's someone important she must see," he solemnly replies as to feign my remark was unheard.

"I understand." I raise my hand and rest it on his shoulder.

Nothing but a mild expression etches to his face when he finally turns around. I suppress another attempt to tease him and sober quickly.

"I see you finally found what's important. Protect her, alright? Don't let her slip away again."

His lips slightly lift. "Emm..."

I give his shoulder another squeeze and head back into the ship.

Along the hallway, I see Y/N walking out the less crowded corridor that leads to Shinsuke's room and joins the one I'm currently at.

I quicken my pace and call to her. "Y/N."

Her steps come to a halt as a smile slowly spreading to her elegant face when she sees me. "Bansai."

"How are you feeling?" I ask, looking down to see a bag she's holding.

"I'm fine. Thank you," she says, still smiling.

Whatever is prepared to be voiced crumbles as the memory of that night swims back to my mind.

"I'm sorry," I absently say before noticing.

She blinks, confused. "Why apologize?"

I avert my eyes from her and reluctantly relate. "For the other night when you were in the alley. It was me who came behind you. I'm sorry for being a little to rough."

"It was you?" Her wide eyes widen further along with her voice.

I nod, prepared for any blame that's about to come. But when I lift my eyes to her face again after an awkward moment, instead of a narrowed-eyed-look, another bright smile blooms on her lips and stays as she speaks.

"Don't be sorry," she lightly says, taking me back. "Before, I always thought who would've brought me back here. And I'm glad that it was you."

     "I-" I don't know what to say.

"Why would you think of finding me?" Y/N inquires. Her question only sounds of curiosity alone.

"I saw you and well, I was shocked to see you, still alive. But after you fell, Shinsuke was a mess so I decided to look for you."

She quickly looks away, cheeks painting a rosy color. "Right."

Her reaction coaxes a smile to my face. "Whatever you're troubling about, I'm sure they'll be soothed very soon enough. He's trying to help you too, I assure you that much."

She adjusts the bag, letting her other hand to hold it. "I'm very glad," she replies, still noticeably flushing. "Well then, I'll go and assume my doing."

I never find the two of you less amusing, I thought. "Sure."

Turning around, she walks with a different grace that I can't help but notice that hardly shows any signs of the former, smiling girl she once was.
