Kyle stepped out into the rain. He sighed heavily. Not only had he over slept and been yelled at by his mother for 'being responsible' but now it was raining.
Out of all the things that pissed him off the most, it's that his mother called him responsible. It was his first time this year waking up late. If only she knew how he was up all night fighting what thoughts screamed at him. How Kyle was caught in yet another triangle, accept this time he was in the center.
He trudged through the rain wishing he could have just stayed home. He hated this. Normally he would've driven to school, but after the whole being sent on any early break, his mother took that away.
Kyle was so distracted by his thoughts, he ran straight into someone else.Kenny spun around. He was happy to see the handsome little red head. Yet he was surprised to see Kyle running late. Kyle was normally punctual, even though his car was taken.
"Oh, shit. I'm sorry." He told him. Kyle was rubbing his nose. Kenny laughed. "Oh, hey Kenny."
"Hey, your late." Kenny said softly. He quickly took his huge jacket off and handed it to the other boy. "Here, you'll get sick."
Kyle looked at Kenny confused. "What about you?"
Kenny frowned. "Kyle, I'm trying to be nice."
Kyle rolled his eyes and took the jacket. It was warm and held Kyle like Kenny did many times. It was welcomed. After crying most of the night, he could've laid down on the ground and fell asleep in the rain.
Kenny chuckled. Kyle looked up at the blonde confused. "What?"
"You look so cute in it." Kenny said simply. He took Kyle's hand and walked with him through the rain. They didn't talk. Mostly because Kyle was still half asleep. Maybe Kenny could tell.
Kenny didn't ask for his jacket back. Kyle wore it all day. He even forgot it was on until he got home.
Shutting his bed room door, he pulled the jacket off. He wrapped his arms around the huge thing and squeezed. The smell of Kenny was all over it. It gave him mixed feelings.
Part of him wanted this to be a sign that he was meant to be with Kenny. The other half knew that things were that simple and his feelings for Stan were still there.
For now, he tried his best to focus on how happy he could be with Kenny. How nice Kenny was. Kenny was always up front with everything. He never hid from Kyle. Kyle never had to worry about Kenny leaving him for his ex.
Maybe the answer was simple. Maybe he was over thinking. But, it wasn't as easy for his heart to make a decision. It made him feel so disappointed in himself. He was disgusted.
Kyle secretly wondered, if he let Kenny go after this long, would Kenny think that Kyle led him on? Maybe Kyle needed help in this decision.
