•Faith's POV•
The movie was halfway in, Cory was looking for the remote to pause the film. "Popcorn?" He offered, He must have brought a whole movie theater in his pockets.
I nodded and waited for him to walk back.
"You notice any cool guys around here?" Cory asked.
"They're all pretty cool I guess. In a friend way that is." I replied to him. "The butter is in the upper cabinet"
"Thanks, ya know, I think you're pretty cool." He flirts and shoots me a smirk. I felt my face get hot so I decided to turn around and thank him.
He came back over with the popcorn, "You cold?" I nodded. "'Me too. I'll get us a blanket."
He came back over to us and spread the blanket out so it covered both of us. He put the popcorn bowl inbetween us, one half on my thigh, the other on his.

As I saw guy in the movie pump his fist up in the air, I knew the film had finished. I heard the cabin door opening and shot up.
I saw Laney walking inside with boxes in her hand, she had set them down on the table ans noticed Cory on the couch with me.
"Who's that?" She asked me
"I'm Cory, nice to meet you, Laney." He stuck out his hand for a handshake.
"How do you know my name?" She asked
"Faith has talked lots about her friends. She's a great girl."
"Okay yeah, you need to leave." She demanded
Cory came in for a hug and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Laney what the hell was that?" I shouted as he left.
"What? I don't want strangers in out cabin and watching movies with my friends!"
"He's not a stranger! He's my friend and you can't be your bitchy self around him!" I regret the words I said as soon as they left my lips.
"You know what? That kid is weird Faith. I don't want you around him."
"Oh so you're my mother now?" I gave her sass.
"Obviously you can't be mature enough to know that, that guy is weird as hell!" She shouted.
"It's getting late, I should go to bed. Goodnight Delaney."
I heard a sigh from her and the door slam. Fuck, why is she such a bitch to my friends? I'm
not one to hers, what did Cory ever do to her?
•Laneys POV•
"It's getting late, I should go to bed. Goodnight Delaney." At that point I wanted to slap her and flip some tables. Might as well go down to the dock and cool down.
