You Make Your Own Future (Mike Faist x Reader)

Y/N POV

I was so excited ready to see Mike, but...it wasn't him.
"Adam.." I stood there in a daze. Waiting for his explanation of being there and what he wanted. I didn't exactly get an explanation. Instead, he climbed over the counter and pulled me into an intimate and tight hug. "I miss you.." He says in a soft tone, his words make my heart race but also makes my eyes water. "Miss me?" I respond, gently pulling away from the embrace "Is this some kind of joke? After what happened. I can't believe you even tried to come and see me-"
"I know. I know. I can't apologise enough I really can't. But I just, there's so much more to it!"
"I don't care. I don't want to hear it. You can't do this..please leave."
He holds my chin and pulls my face closer to his.
"W-wait!"

Mike POV

Y/N rang me that day and told me she'd be working at the till. Of course I wanted to visit.
As I entered the shop, a cupboard of vinyl's was in my view of the counter. As I swerved around it, I saw a man, about 20, holding her by the chin and pulling her closer in. She looked scared. But, she wasn't stopping him. My heart made a thud and I froze for a second until I thought, even if this is the guy she wants to be with, although I want her to be happy, I cannot support her future with him. I want her future to be with me. That moment, I knew how selfish I was being, I thought that I would be okay if it wasn't me, but I definitely wouldn't. My selfishness took over and as they were just a few millimetres apart, I managed to jump over the counter and pull y/n backwards letting her fall into my arms and hugging her protectively from behind. "I don't care who you are or what you mean to her. But I won't allow you to take her. Because..." I glance down at y/n and gulp in slight fear. What I was about to say could change everything, any outcome, something will change. But i didn't care, I wanted to convey my feelings. I wanted her to know, to know that- "I love her...I love you, y/n."
"H-huh!!?"

{Hiya everyone so imma leave you on this cliffhanger here haha sorry;;; anyway in about a week's time I'm going to have important exams coming up so I'm studying and cramming it all in my very small brain right now (help me) and then I'll be praying to God, Allah, Jesus, mufasa (rip), connor murphey (rip) El Diablo (getting ready for my Spanish exam, yes thay means the devil) pretty much praying to everyone. But the moral of this very long note (sorry lol) is that I won't be updating this story really until my exams are over, oh also after exams I have work experience so it'll be difficult then too but I'll tryyyyyy (writing is my only escape, even my English exams are like nothing to do with writing its like paragraphs analysing extracts like I don't care let me wriiiiiteeee) okay that's all, sorry for the cliff hanger y'all, see you all soon!}
