Minho Imagines (Minho X Reader)

You have spent every waking moment planning for this. It was finally time to get Minho back. Brenda and Jorge had left already. Everyone was in their places. You could hear the train in the distance. You were ready, you had to be Minho was counting on you. Brenda and Jorge are distracting the guards and conductors. Thomas and you were driving behind the train. Thomas got out of his seat and got on the front hood of the vehicle. He had the clamp in his hand. “Get me closer!” he demanded trying to stay balanced and clip it to the train cart. You floored it, luckily, this got him close enough to secure the clamp. Thomas steadied himself and then lunged for the train car. He successfully landed and turned back to you. I’m really doing this? you thought as you got out of your seat and ventured to the front of the vehicle. “Come on, you’ve got this” Thomas said reassuringly. Just as you were standing up, one of the tires blew shifting the whole car and causing you to lose your balance. “Y/N” Thomas yelled. You were trying to stand upright again, but it had gotten significantly harder. Thomas saw that the clamp was about to give. “Jump” he urged. You did so barely grabbing onto one of the bars. Thomas pulled you up and into his arms for the briefest of hugs. You were then started as the clamp gave way and the car flipped backwards down the tracks. You paused for a moment before continuing with your mission.

You started to place the dynamite that would separate the cars. Thomas was covering you. As soon as the train cars were separated and came to a stop, you signaled for Newt and his group to come out and start working. Thomas looked towards the remainder of the train and the guards that were beginning to  emerge. “This is going to be close” he remarked before the two of you ran to get in position. You and some of the others were shooting at the guards. Newt had just finished and the Berge arrived. Everyone was heading to the top to complete the plan. But you stayed back to keep off the guards. They yelled for you to come. You jumped just as the train car was lifted into the air. You climbed up the ladder and was greeted by Newt. Everyone was cheering, you couldn’t believe that you’d actually done it. The plan worked!

When you back to camp and the train car was opened, Thomas immediately jumped in, you and Newt were right behind him. You desperately searched the crowd. You recognized Aries, but didn’t see Minho. You walked farther and then Thomas turned to you, “He’s not here.” Your stomach dropped. Did you grab the wrong car? If he wasn’t on the train, where was he? Could he be dead? Your mind raced and against your will, tears escaped from your eyes. Seeing this, Newt guided you off of the train and away from the crowd. He wiped the tears from your eyes. “Are you okay love?” he asked. “I will be” you answered/

Meanwhile, Thomas helped to free the rescuees from their chains. Vince explained to them all what was going to happen next. Then Thomas and Frypan went to Aries to get any information that he had on Minho. This is when they found out that W.C.K.D was taking the immune ‘Subjects’ to a place called the city. “I thought that there were no more cities, that the flare destroyed them all” Brenda questioned. “There is one” Jorge responded gravely. “But if Minho is going there, you might as well give up now, it’s impossible” he added. “Where is it?” Thomas probed. Jorge went and got one of the maps of a nearby table and circled a spot. “That’s only a few hundred miles. We take everyone who can fight, we take the roads where we can and we could be back within a week.” Thomas strategized. That is where Vince had had enough. “A week?” he questioned. “It took us 6 months to get here. We have over a hundred kids here now. We can’t stay here. W.C.K.D will be looking for us everywhere after what we just pulled. You expect me to have you take people to some random location on a map because a kid remembers hearing the words ‘the city’? We have no plan, no reliable information, no advantage or element of surprise.” he finishes. “Vince I’ve thought this through-” Thomas started. “Last time we went out like this I lost everything” Vince boomed. Then he softened his tone, “I know it’s Minho we are talking about. But you can’t ask me to risk the lives of those kids for one man. I won’t do it” he finished. Thomas was about to say something when they heard the radio come in. That meant W.C.K.D. was doing an aerial search nearby. They immediately cut the lights to the entire facility. Vince and Thomas raced out to see where the planes were. “They’re getting close” Vince commented. “You’re right, we can’t stay here” Thomas agreed before heading back inside.
