Y/N's POV

As I lay in the cell one day, with Ben asleep at my side, I began to realize that I missed the stars. Sure, they were only balls of fire burning millions of miles away but... at this point, it felt like it they were something that I was connected too.

The more I thought about them, the more I missed my family. Even my brothers, and my father. I had Ben, but who knows how much longer that would be. The First Order would force me into isolation at some point. If not physically, then emotionally.

The question was how, and I didn't want to think about that. I kept my thoughts from Ben, and I could sense that he knew I was keeping something from him. But I didn't want to worry him more. I only wanted our moments to be happy. Who knew when our last moment together would come to pass?

---

My body jolted in shock as I was yanked away from Ben's embrace several mornings later, who still lay asleep on the cold floor. "Get up!" A hand slapped over my mouth, and I watched silently as they did the same to him. His eyes were gleaming with fury as he was pulled to his feet, and lead towards the door. We were both pulled out into a hall way, the lights blinding my vision and causing me to wince. The familiar door of the Supreme Leader's chambers sent a wave of panic through my body, and I started to stumble backwards. "That is enough-"

Suddenly, a loud boom echoed across the ship, and rocked all of us off our feet. I grunted as I hit the floor, my head making contact with the hard wall before I collapsed. I blinked several times before my blurry vision went back to normal.

"Watch the prisoners!" Phasma snapped to the Stormtroopers before taking one of them with her down the hall in a fast pace. The remaining two faced us, and aimed their blasters at our heads.

"Don't move." One of them commanded.

"Or else... we'll shoot you." The second one chimed in.

Ben snorted, and I turned to look at him, my eyes urging him to be quiet.

"Oh yeah? I'll bet that you were just given that blaster two days ago, and haven't even shot it once. And, even better, you haven't even been on a single mission yet." He smirked at the two troopers, who began to stiffen.

"Ben, shut up." I gritted my teeth.

"Listen to the girl." One of them nudged my head with the end of his gun, and kept it there. "Or else her spilt blood with be your responsibility."

Everything moved in a flash. Ben slammed the Stormtrooper into the wall with the Force before rising quickly to his feet. The other tried to aim his gun at him but I quickly kicked his legs out from under him, causing him to drop his gun and land on the floor on his back. I quickly grabbed the gun and aimed it at his head. "Don't move."

"Don't touch her again." Ben stepped closer to the other Stormtrooper, and started to choke him. "Don't even look at her."

"Ben, that's enough!" I grabbed his shoulder. He turned and looked at me. His eyes, hardened with anger and hatred, grew soft at the expression of shock and slight fear on my face. He turned back to the Stormtrooper.

"If you let anyone know we escaped..." He leaned closer to the troopers helmet. "I will find you." He released his hold, and the Stormtrooper slid down the wall, breathing heavily.

"You too." I lifted my chin as I pointed my gun once again at the other trooper.

"Let's go." Ben grabbed my hand, and started to run down the hall, opposite of the way that Phasma came.

Ben's POV

We reached the cargo bay before we were discovered.

"There they are! Fire at will!"

I gritted my teeth as I recognized Hux's voice, but didn't turn to look at him as Y/N and I ran as fast as we could for any available ship. We stopped in a closed off hall, as the gun shots began to fire from at least thirty different places.

"They'll shoot us down the moment we get in one of them." Y/N whispered, defeat seeping into her voice, and reflected in her eyes. I opened to my mouth to speak, but closed it, knowing she was right. We were stuck. Before I could begin to think, new gun fire began to shoot into the base and I turned to see Resistance Fighters running into the base, firing shots at the Stormtroopers and any other First Order officers in sight.

"This is your only shot." I stepped away from Y/N, looking at her sadly. "Go find my mother. Tell her you were a prisoner of the First Order and that you managed to escape. It's the only way."

"I'm not leaving you here!" Y/N protested, stepping closer to me and grabbing my hand. "Not after everything you've been through! If you die, I die."

"Don't be so damn foolish! Get out of here while you can!" I snapped.

"Ben..." She smiled at me sadly. "I'm not going anywhere."

"Why-"

"Freeze! Drop your weapons!" An all-too familiar voice yelled as they entered our hiding spot and I let out a small groan.

"We don't have any."

"Turn the hell around."

I turned and came face to face with Anja, my old best friend... and ex-girlfriend.

A/N: Yikes! I'm sorry guys. It has been FOREVER since I've updated, but I've been pretty busy lately. Despite some of the rough patches that I've experienced in the past few weeks, I finished off senior year on a relatively good note! Now... on to college! I got a new laptop for graduation, so updates will be more frequently (I hope). Thanks for putting up with me while I got my shit together. More (and longer) updates will follow in the near future. :)
